Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Needs improvements. Anonymous Downtown Spokane, plenty of shopping close by.The location of the Ridpath is excellent, I am not satisfied with cleaness of room. Rug was stained and I actually picked up a piece of dog food (kibble) off the carpet. (We do not have a dog). The curtain needed repairing, the hem was unraveled and hanging on the window seal. The only parking available at hotel is Valet, and an additional $10.00 fee per night. Everytime we need our car, we are expected to tip. Everytime we needed our car, we had to get it from the Valet even if we would be in our room for a short time. Not convenient at all. Score 4 out of 5 OK For the price Richard, Portland, OR I did not find anything that I would recommend.Check in was long due to only one person answering the phone and cheking people in. Some of the staff did not seem to be very customer service friendly. They did their job and were not rude in any way, but didn't give me the impression that they wanted to help. Score 4 out of 5 Very Nice Lobby Anonymous, 2007-03-11 Restaurant/lounge next door was great. The employees were friendly. Try the martinis! The Lobby at the Ridpath was very nice. They had chairs and sofas arranged for the guests to relax and visit. The staff was very friendly and the valet parking attendant was very, very helpful with information about the town--where to eat and what to see. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. But they were small! There was only a desk and desk chair, two queen beds and a TV. We had little room to walk. The bathroom was small with a small amount counter space around the sink. Score 2 out of 5 In the Middle of a Change Over Anonymous, 2007-02-25 Shopping, Dining, Nightlife and some Art Galleries all within walking distance. Enjoyed PJ Changs restaurant, Ella's Night Club and various shops and the mall. Downtown area is a bit of an upgrade, but still a bit shabby and a scary at night. Recommend taxis.Disorganized is the best I can say about the hotel on this trip. Somewhat warranted as it is in the final stages of renovations and I'm sure things will improve. The price was right, but the basics were not there. Long wait at the front desk to check in. Then sent up to a room that had NOT been made up. We went back down to the desk to get another room. Staff was helpful, but it added another 10 minutes on to ur check-in. Got to our room to discover that there was no soap, no sugar, no coffee, no tissue. Tracked down the cleaning staff down the hall. Gave us sugar and soap, but there was no coffee available other than decaf. Asked for caffinated, and they said they were out. Called the front desk. They have NO caffinated coffee right now as order has not arrived. Okay. Didn't ruin our stay, but we were tired upon check-in after traveling and didn't appreciate this. Location is scary as downtown Spokane ain't what it used to be. Hopefully that is changing. There are buildings in the area being torn down, so hope that means an improvement. Did enjoy the fact that we could walk to Riverfront Mall, Davenport Hotel, Ella's Night Club and many charming restaurants. My hope is the Ridpath will once again become the lovely hotel it was in the late 1980s/early 90s, when there was a restaurant, bar and nigthclub. (I know a new bar is opening and a new restaurant is in the works)We spent many happy times there in the past!! Score 2 out of 5 DOWNTOWN CHEAP Brian, 2007-02-23 Cyrus O'Leary's is a two block walk and has a great menu and consistently fine food. Their french onion soup is the absolute best anywhere and a great value. dont miss it. For a real dining experience go to MILFORD'S on Monroe, a short drive of 2 miles? Wonderful, gourmet seafood at about 25$ a plate.Don't expect a lot, just a place to stay close to things in downtown Spokane. Valet parking doesnt answer the phone or respond very quickly causing lineups for parking or retrieval of your car. The front desk is non-chalantly oblivious of the clientel. The Ridpath is distinctly in decline and heading quickly towards a flophouse. Score 4 out of 5 not for family Anonymous, 2007-02-19 everything you need is in walking distance, riverfront park, shopping, resturants and entertainment, good location for everything you need to doI didn't make it the first night becasue I got stuck in atlanta and didn't stay the last night because had to catch an early flight back to afghanistan, but besides that all was ok, the staff was very helpfull and the area is ok but not a good area for kids to be in. a great business place. Score 5 out of 5 Very friendly. Anonymous, 2007-02-04 We enjoyed our stay at the Ridpath. The front desk clerk morning and evening was very hospitable and gave us information about where to eat and she was right - the restaurant next door was very good. The continentel breakfast was good. We were satisfied with the fruit, rolls and beverage. We got there at 9:30 AM and others were complaining they were already out of the cereal. Nothing that bothered us. Nice atmosphere in the breakfast room. We would stay there again. Good experience. Score 3 out of 5 My review of Ridpath Spokane Hotel Anonymous, 2006-10-22 I will give it another chance once the remodel is done. Score 4 out of 5 Nice establishment. Anonymous, 2006-08-06 There is a beautiful park within a few blocks that was very enjoyable. There were several different vendors, music and children's entertainment also. The Westcoast Ridpath Hotel was clean and the price was acceptable. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I would not recommend a weekend stay. It was very noisy due to the night life. The beds were a bit firm. Score 5 out of 5 One of the Best Colby, 2006-06-11 Lovely park with games, rides, play areas, and bueatiful views of Spokane River. It was an all day trip. This hotel was very nice and convienent to downtown. The staff was very helpful and willing to please. Rooms were nice and clean. Contiental Breakfast was excellent. |
