Volunteer Park Conservatory
This stately old Victorian conservatory, built in 1912, houses a large collection of tropical and desert plants, including palm trees, orchids, and cacti. There are also seasonal floral displays.

Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center
Sort of an interactive promotion for modern fishing and shipping, this facility at the north end of the Seattle waterfront is aimed primarily at kids and has more than 40 hands-on exhibits highlighting Seattle's modern working waterfront and its links to the sea. Exhibits include a kid-size fishing boat, a virtual kayak trip through Puget Sound, and a live radar center that allows you to track the movement of vessels in Elliott Bay. In another exhibit, you get to use a simulated crane to practice loading a scale model of a cargo ship.

Pacific Science Center
Although its exhibits are aimed primarily at children, the Pacific Science Center is fun for all ages. The main goal of this sprawling complex at Seattle Center is to teach kids about science and to instill a desire to study it. To that end, there are life-size robotic dinosaurs, a butterfly house and insect village (with giant robotic insects), a Tech Zone where kids can play virtual-reality soccer or challenge a robot to tic-tac-toe, and dozens of other fun hands-on exhibits addressing the biological sciences, physics, and chemistry. The August Bubble Festival is always a big hit. There's a planetarium for learning about the skies (plus laser shows for the fun of it), plus an IMAX theater. Be sure to check the schedule for special exhibits when you're in town.

Convenient location, great rates

Galliano's on Military Road has excellent and inexpensve Italian food. While travelling north on International, turn right on 188th, then left on Military Road, and look for Galliano's on your left.

My stay at the Days Inn Seattle/Sea-Tac International Airport was just what I needed for a short turn-around weekend stay. Reasonably clean, quiet, and conveniently located, this Days Inn fit my needs well. If you're looking for frills and lots of extras, this may not be your hotel, but for a basic hit-and-run trip to Seattle, this isn't a bad choice at all.

around a 20 minute or drive south of the hotel is Federal Way. There is a mall, movie theater, dining etc just for a quick thing to get away. Easy access to I-5 can get you Tacoma or Seattle quickly.

The hotel itself was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location itself was good, it was very near the airport and had easy access to the highway. However, the parking for the hotel was difficult, small and always full. Also there was no resturant in the hotel, making it an always go out and get something. There are no fridges in the room, no coffee maker, iron etc. But in saying that I would recommend it to people who are there for a short stay, yet went to get on the highway and go exploring.

Hotel service from the airport and back to the airport was great. The staff at the desk and other stafff were curtious and helpful. The one problem was that their was dirty laundry left between the mattress and box spring and the pillow case was not clean... the staff immediately took care of the problem...but, the place needed a good cleaning..the floor in the elevator was very dirty as was the hallways..they need to give the place a good cleaning..........

Cheap hotel at Seatac

We were looking for an inexpensive place to spend a night at Seatac. I felt that it was on the verge of being unsafe. The room was unpleasant and I would not reccomend it to anyone.
