Lindo Mexico across the street has the best mexican food and friendly owners. I have gone there for years.
The Phoenix in Vancouver was beautifully decorated. The bedding was very comfortable and inviting. It was hard to get up in the morning! We didn't get to see much of the hotel because we had to leave early. The surrounding area dining options are great, all within walking distance.
