Located about 2 blocks from Key Arena, and walking distance to the Space Needle. Good food with-in walking. I will be back. Score 5 out of 5 Home away from home Christina, Portland, OR, 2007-02-04 Great for theatre, ballet, basketball. Cute neighborhood on Mercer and well worth the short, but steep hike up to Queen Anne.I really enjoy the Marqueen because of its charm and comfort - it's really more akin to staying at an elderly aunt's apartment. The decor is quiet and comforting. The kitchenette is great for taking advantage of the gourmet markets in the neighborhoods. If you have tickets for any of the events at the Seattle Center, the hotel is great; for those who enjoy walking, it is an easy walk to Downtown Seattle. Close to the new sculpture park, too. The Marqueen is not fancy, not glitzy, but it is quiet and restful, and really, a home away from home. Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am, everything on the menu is only $6.00. A great value. The location is very convenient to downtown Seattle. The room had two queen beds, a sitting room, and a complete kitchen with full sized refrigerator. It would be a great place for a family weekend. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The bellman/valet parking guy recommended a WONDERFUL restaurant for breakfast that was immediately across the street from the hotel (Peso's Kitchen & Lounge). It didn't open until 9:00 am, but I chose to wait the 15 minutes. Boy, it was great. The central heat was very quiet, which led to a good night's sleep. Most hotels in that price range have the window bangers for heat/AC that are horribly noisy and most irritable. I highly recommend this hotel. Score 5 out of 5 great place Laura, New York, NY, 2006-11-18 Pesos right across the street has tapas and good local beers and is always packed with locals during the evening. fun place! The marqueen was in a great neighborhood and walking distance to dowtown. there is also a great view of the space neddle from the back rooms! public transportation is easily avalible. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very large and comfortable and had a kitchen area and stitting area. I would stay there again! the only thing i didn't like was carrying my baggage up to the third floor because there is no elevator, but it was to be expected because the building is old. it looks very historic and pretty though! Score 5 out of 5 great old charm lorne, Cincinnati, OH, 2006-11-04 Uptown Coffee shop just down the street was really good and Easy Street Records was the best. I also liked Larry's market which is just around the corner.I really enjoyed my stay at the Marqueen in Seattle. The hotel was very nice and in a great part of the city. It was a delightful experience overall. Score 5 out of 5 Great Staff Vincent, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-05-10 Plenty of restaurants, clubs, and entertainment in very close walking distance. Also a few short blocks to Seattle Center, Experience Music Project and Space Needle. The Marqueen Hotel was perfectly located in a central area very close to Seattle Center and plenty of dining and entertainment options. No cab necessary. The hotel staff was also extremely pleasant and helpful. I will definately stay here again. |
