Overlooking the beautiful Columbia River, we're just West of I-5 and 15 minutes from Portland International Airport via complimentary hotel transportation. We're close to historic Fort Vancouver, shopping and the City Center. Enjoy our seasonal outdoor pool, walk or jog on a scenic 3K trail right outside our door. Excellent golf courses abound.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Remodel in Progress Anonymous, 2006-07-13 The Red Lion at the River Quay in Vancouver, WA is being remodeled. We stayed in a newly remodeled room. It was comfortable, but a little crowded because of the huge oversized armoire housing the TV and clothing drawers. We take a sound machine with us when we travel, so noise wasn't an issue with us, but for those without one it could be quite noisy. The hotel is located between the I-5 Highway, train, and the Portland airport. The staff took care of each of our requests promptly. Exterior maintenance was lacking somewhat. The stair leading to the pool area looked as if no one had swept in a week. The restaurant had nice ambiance but the food did not. It was pricey and not that palatable. Overall, after the remodel is finished, I would rate it as good. Score 4 out of 5 getaway with a view Alice, San Diego, CA, 2006-05-30 Its right on the river with a great view, close to downtown, shopping and the airport. We enjoyed our stay for the most part with only a few exceptions. We wanted to swim but the pool was located outside (and it rained most of the time) so we then wanted to use a Jaccuzzi but they didn't have one. So then we wanted to find the gift shop but they didn't have a gift shop either, so we had to drive into town in the rain to find our amenities. Also, I had to call the front desk to replinish our room with coffee and such as the maid didn't refill the items for the coffee pot. The front desk called us back and said that we have to come up to the front desk and pick up what we need. That was kind of rude and unprofessional knowing that our room was pretty far from the lobby. We do like our coffee in the morning so we had no other choice. Score 4 out of 5 Not very impressed Anonymous, Denver, CO, 2006-05-08 The bed was okay but the pillows were the best part of our whole stay. The bathroom was a bit creepy, dirty and the curtain smelled. I would not go back. However, they are supposedly remodeling so maybe after thats done since the location was good. Score 2 out of 5 Lower Your Expectations Anonymous, 2005-11-02 Don't expect much here. The staff is mailing it in. They're not around to help, just to cash their paycheck. The nicest folks there are the housekeepers and the only ones I saw smile in three days. The front desk staff hate their jobs and it shows. |
