Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Good enough for the money Megan, Kalispell, MT, 2007-02-24 The complimentary breakfast is wonderful and lots of food to choose from. It has a great view as well.Rooms are clean and spacious, with microwave and refrigerator, tv was smaller than normal, and seems to be popular for kids since pool and hot tub were packed, wanted to take hot tub but could not squeeze in. Location is awkward to get to and get back to town, lots of one ways and not marked clearly for interstate on ramp. It is the old part of town with not much there anymore. Score 5 out of 5 Very family friendly Mary, 2007-02-15 I was very pleased with my stay at the Shilo Inn. The room was wonderful. I loved the fact that the bed had a lot of pillows. The pool was nice and warm. I thought it was very nice that when I checked out of the hotel I was gived a thank you card for staying with them. It was a wonderful experience. Score 5 out of 5 Nice Hotel Mark, Pasco, WA, 2006-11-06 The Shiloh Inn in Spokane was quite nice. What was especially nice was the room itself. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only criticism I would have is the location of the hotel itself. It seemed to be in a rather grungy and dark part of the downtown area. Score 4 out of 5 Comfortable Stay Anonymous, 2006-09-17 The Japanese Restaurant next door, Shogun, was excellent! We arrived very late but had no problems checking in. Staff was friendly & helpful. I was disappointed that the one dining room closed at 9:00 pm, but that was just a minor inconvenience. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy, which was the important thing to us after a long drive. Location is close to downtown Spokane, and was easy to find our way around. We stayed two nights.....for a complete weekend. Odd breakfast service: FREE breakfast specials but you must pay for beverages, i.e. coffee, juice, milk. Walking distance to good Japanes Restaurant, the SHOGUN. Not a scenic location, but convenient. The main plus is comfort and cleanliness. Score 5 out of 5 Great staff Barbara, Spokane, WA, 2006-08-26 It's a fairly short drive to shopping and additional restaurants.I have stayed in this hotel previously, when it was okay. Since remodeling, the Shilo Inn Spokane is a very good value, a pleasant place to stay. The included breakfast is very good. I enjoyed the fact that an extra sink is set up in the main room. I also appreciate the microwave and frig. Score 5 out of 5 Accomodating and friendly, Diane, Seattle, WA, 2006-08-10 The Shilo Staff were great! That is what made our stay here a good experience. I would recommend Shilo inforce no smoking in public space. 4th floor where we stayed always smelled like smoke in the area where you get off the elevator. Other wise a good experience! Score 4 out of 5 Good Value for Passing Through phil, 2006-08-06 Shilo Inn Spokane is a good value for an overnight stay but I wouldn't stay there for any longer than that. The property is a bit run down but they still manage to keep it clean and functioning. The pool and hot tub were great for the kids after a long day on the road, but we felt the hot tub was on the cooler side and the pool was really cold. Upon check-in we were greeted by a very stressed out clerk. Not a very warm welcome by any stretch. The room was clean and comfortable albeit dated, with a great view of the Gonzaga campus. Breakfast is a good basic affair with choice of waffles or eggs for the free meals and a menu of other choices. Prices are decent for onsite dining. We will more than likely use this hotel again as our stopover place on our way to other places but not as a destination. Score 5 out of 5 You get what you what you expect! Scot, 2006-08-05 Spokane Fair Grounds, shopping, business centers.Hmm..I got a pool, a sauna, a jucuzie, a fitness work out room. I got outstanding food. I got a relaxing lounge, and excelent service! Polite'ness and attention was the order of the day by the staff. In the morning, a great breakfast in the dining room on the 5th floor resteraunt. The room was Ok too! Private, and cleen. Fully stocked, Oh and lots of towels! That is good! All in all, for the price it is more than worth it. I will go back there next year. Score 2 out of 5 Review Dennis, Portland, OR, 2006-06-18 No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 Rooms a little shabby, but great pool Anonymous, 2006-05-08 The river front park is a woderful place to walk and Auntie's book store is great. The Shilo Inn in Spokane is pretty convenient to downtown about 5 or six blocks into a more industrial section of town. The check-in was friendly. Although the hotel has signs staing that smoking is not permitted, it is still abundantly clear that a lot of smoking has occurred in the past. However the smell was much more noticable in the hall than in our room. Our room was a double queen and was comfortably sized for two adults and 2 small kids plus a portable crib. There were holes in the beadspreads and the sheets did not fit well on the matresses and would come off in the middle of the night. The carpet had quite a few buckles in it but it seemed clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast options on two mornings. Waffles were good, and the fruit bowl was huge. The best partof our stay was the heated pool that was actually warm. The shallow end, at 3 feet 6 inches was too deep for our four year old but she was with Dad the whole time. the pool was very clean and the lounge area around it comfortable and inviting. |
