Spokane's original small, luxury boutique hotel offers extravagantly appointed guestrooms with 14 ft ceilings. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily and a hosted wine & champagne social from 4pm - 6pm. Lusso is Italian for luxury, so the hotel is both aptly named and designed; the generous use of Italian marble, tile, detailed scroll work and elegant archways say it all. The Mediterranean theme is carried through to the intimate and contemporary Cavallino Lounge as well as the award-winning Fugazzi Restaurant featuring steak & seafood. The hotel is located next to one of the nation's largest skywalk systems linking shops, restaurants and places of entertainment in Downtown Spokane.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Elegant Yet Cozy Lisa, Seattle, WA, 2006-09-19 The Greek restaurant across the street is very good and there's a great wine selection too.The best part of the Hotel Lusso is the atmosphere of casual elegance that takes you back in time to an era when hotels felt like very lovely homes. I did not spend enough time there to sample its restaurant but there are a number of restaurants from casual to more formal close by. It is a bit of a walk to the riverfront park convention area, but it is conveniently located to the downtown shopping areas. Overall, my experience was very positive. Score 5 out of 5 Great staff and beautiful surroundings. Barbara, Richmond, VA, 2006-04-16 The hotel continental breakfast was nice and you can make your own waffles. The menu breakfast is very reasonably priced however and on my departure day I ordered a good breakfast as I would be traveling all day with no food. It was excellent.I decided to try the Lusso. I met my two college age children there and although my arrival was delayed by six hours (airlines!!) my children were able to check in with ease for me and enjoy the amenities such as the wine tasting and nice warm lobby until I arrived. Everyone was more than accomodating to us including the kitchen who held our leftover dinners from a restaurant and even reheated them for us the next day! I was almost embarrassd to have such great treatment. The standard room is a little small, but nicely appointed and we got along well. The baths are nice sized with great soaking tubs and there is a lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom- don't see these too often. All in all, I would stay here again for the personal service, ambiance and great downtown location. Score 5 out of 5 Old world charm Richard, 2005-05-23 Located in downtown Spokane, Hotel Lusso is a diamond in the rough. Its old world charm is evident in the restoration of this turn of the centuary building. Across the street for the refurbished Davenport Hotel, centerpiece of the downtown restoration, Hotel Lusso provides all of the charm and amenities of the Davenport at half of the cost. The staff is first rate. Their friendly greetings are genuine. The rooms remind you of first rate rooms decades ago. From the foot ceilings to marbled bathrooms, the rooms are average size but, appear much larger. Capitalizing on a theme from another motel chain, homemade cookies greet guests in the evening, however, rather than handed to you at check-in, the cookies are delivered to your door on a tea cart. They have several kinds from which to choose. It was a nice touch. Would I stay there on future visits? You bet! |
