The room was spacious with a queen size bed, a dresser, a table with two chairs. They also provided you with free cable t.v. The room was clean and cozy. There were several restaurants and fast food close by. Everything else was a short car ride. The motel 6 was relatively clean and comfortable. The room was brightly lit if you wanted. The motel left a local paper each morning and was for the most part quiet. My room had a queen size bed , a table with 2 chairs and the bathroom had a shower only. Its a great value if you are coming into Yakima for a tournament and really aren't going to be spending much time in your room. Score 3 out of 5 okay Ruth, Seattle, WA, 2005-10-29 went for classes did not eat out or site see. But if interested in winter there is an elk and mountain sheep feeding station about 16 miles out on hwy 12room very crowded no coffee, tea, hair dryer in room no clock or radio in room, no microwave or cooling unit for food very loud could hear the heating/cooling units in the next room(s) beds were uncomfortable not enought light in the bathroom for personal grooming (make- up etc.) Score 1 out of 5 NEVER GOING BACK Anonymous, Boise, ID, 2005-09-26 Jack in the Box, and several Mexican restraunts, a Chinese one, and a Wendy's all withing walking. But with the ghetto surrounding the motel, i would not reccomend walking, or at least with any valuables on your person.Check-in was friendly, but the room was smaller than most I've stayed in. After the first night, I went out for the day and returned to find that items were missing from my room, and there were no clean towels; they had simply made the beds and pilfered my belongings. When this was brought to the attention on the desk staff, I was told that this was an "impossibility". I was treated very inapropriatly, and I, myself, accused of being the one in the wrong. Being too late to find another hotel, i stayed the second night, had the toilet back-up and flood the bathroom then while i was out for dinner(carrying all my belongings with me)had my tv cable blocked when i returned. The only plus being that there are lots of restraunts within walking distance. Needless to say i checked out first thing in the a.m. and found another hotel for my third night. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Unless maybe you're an ex-con, which, by the looks of the tattooed, greasy, hispanic men who where slinking around smoking, wearing Motel 6 shirts, I supsect the hotel staff is as well. They fit right in with the one eyed stray cat that lived outside my room door. I was very dissapointed with Motel 6, and do NOT plan to stay with them, at any location, ever again. Score 4 out of 5 Great Value Marvin, Seattle, WA, 2005-09-25 The Yakima Motel 6 was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, the shower functioned well, and the walls suppressed neighbors noise. This is not a high ambiance hotel. You wont find a bellman or concier; but, if all you need is a functional place to get some rest its a great value. |
