Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great 'real' Seattle experience Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2007-02-19 Take a rain jacket (or buy one!) and good walking shoes. You can spend an entire weekend just walking down Pine Street to the Pike Place Market (only 8 blocks away), then back up Pike Street shopping from store to store.Great deal for a very upscale stay. Hotel appeared to be new, with great, relaxing atmosphere. Comfy, comfy bed with a great bathroom. The big marble tub was the best! Score 5 out of 5 Review Karel, Austin, TX, 2006-10-01 Hotel is located in the heart of the city center a few blocks away from the waterfront and there are multiple dining and shopping options.Score 5 out of 5 Great Location, Beautiful Hotel Brian, Fresno, CA, 2006-02-14 It's right near all the major downtown shopping. This hotel is centrally located in downtown Seattle and could not be in a better place for shopping, sightseeing etc. The room was very clean and a great deal for the money. It must be good as the Denver Nuggets basketball team happened to be staying there during our visit and we all know professional athletes only stay in the best places. I would definitely stay here anytime. Ruth Chris steakhouse in the hotel is A+ as well. Dining: Ruths Chris Steakhouse, Starbucks coffee (both with access from the hotel lobby), upscale Italienne, Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican restaurants in the area Recreation: within walking distance is the bay with multiple outdoor markets, bars, restaurants, and walking/biking/running trails; total distance fromThe Grand Hyatt is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Seattle, within walking distance to many of the amenities. The rooms are pleasing to the eye, and comfortable. The surrounding restaurants (including Ruths Chris Steak House) are excellent. We had a bad experience with check-in. When we checked-in, there were no more rooms with double beds IN THE WHOLE HOTEL. I was with a business partner, and didn't feel comfortable sleeping with her in the same bed.The surrounding hotels were also booked. Finally, a late check-in request was preempted for us, so that we could have the type of room we requested. Lesson learned: no matter what on-line company you book your reservation with, make sure that you recheck your requests directly with the hotel. |
