Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 just o.k. Anonymous, Spokane, WA, 2006-12-15 Leunig's on Church Street has excellent food as does Pauline's on Shelburne Road. The Best Western Windjammer Inn was a decent hotel. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help me with directions. The pool looked well kept and clean but was not conveniently located. The bar closed at 11 p.m so I couldn't get a glass of wine after my full day of travel. I did not eat in the restaurant as it was only open for dinner and possibly lunch. It is evidently very popular with the locals. They did offer a continental breakfast but it was all starchy items (danishes, english muffins, cereal). Evening cookies were a nice touch. The business center had a good computer but no printer and I needed to traipse to the front desk for a key everytime I needed to check my email. The room was VERY small and the heater was a bit overpowering for the space. The bed was hard but they had nice pillows. Housekeeping was courteous (not making a ton of noise or knocking on the door at 7 a.m.) and the rooms were very clean. Score 5 out of 5 Great for College Visit Yigal, New York, NY, 2006-08-25 Windjammer Restaurant and Bar was reasonable and good fare. When going to a University of Vermont function, this hotel is clean, convenient and cost-effective. Score 4 out of 5 Great location Melissa, New Orleans, LA, 2006-07-08 Moe's Southwestern Grill next door has the largest burritos I have ever seen! They are made to order in a buffet style line of ingredients at an affordable price. The Best Western Winjammer Inn was overall a good experience. The restaurant in the hotel was very impressive. In addition, the indoor pool and jacuzzi made the hotel stay an enjoyable one. The location in Burlington was ideal for my stay. It is 1 mile from the airport and 1 mile from downtown Burlington. The room size was smaller than expected and the maid service was below average. Overall, I would recommend the Best Western Winjammer Inn for future travelers. Score 3 out of 5 well all right Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2006-06-21 the parking lot had another company, next door that had heavy equipment moving around in the early morning. Not exactly what I wanted to listen to in the AM. who is going to pick up who on what job was not very appealing to me Score 4 out of 5 Clean, Comfortable Anonymous, 2006-06-12 Lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. The Best Western/Windjammer Hotel's staff was efficient, the room clean - albeit small and the cookies/milk add a nice touch. Shuttle to airport is appreciated. The sign to find the hotel is small - buried in amongst all of the other signs on Williston Road. Perhaps there is nothing to do to improve, due to zoning laws, but drove by it and didn't even see it! A fine stay. Score 5 out of 5 Great value for money Gary, Washington, DC, 2006-04-15 Ask for rooms with a view of the Lake. Very cool.Best Western Windjammer Inn was extremely good value. Roomy suite was more than adequate. High standards of cleanliness. Very good location (although difficult to see from the main road(sign needed)). Access to Burlington and major highways good. Views of Lake Champlain a nice plus. Breakfast was OK. Score 5 out of 5 Nice, convenient location Diana, 2006-04-02 The restaurant is OUTSTANDING for lunch or dinner. There is easy access off the interstate. Easy access to the University of VermontThe Windjammer Inn, although an older facility, is keep clean and neat. The staff is accomodating. The breakfast bar is good. The Windjammer restaurant at the same location is outstanding! One feature we have used at the Windjammer Inn in the past is their shuttle to the airport and accomodation of storing our car at the Inn while we are away. I would certainly recommend it to others and have many times. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Best Western Windjammer Inn & Conference Center DAVID, Boston, MA, 2006-03-28 The room and the bathroom were just adequate for a single and the rooms were really clean. The complimentary breakfast was just ok. Score 2 out of 5 Great restaurant; poor accomodations. Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-03-26 This hotel is conveniently located a short drive from the outside shopping of the famous Church St. A definite MUST visit if going to BUrlington. The Best Western Wind Jammer was in a great location for traveling around the Burlington Area. The onsite amenities were great with a nice pool and hot tub as well as a great little fitness center. The restaurant onsite had EXCELLENT food and overall the staff in both were great. I was disappointed with the size of the room as well as the upkeep. Wallpaper was falling off the walls, the shower was broken and maintenance said that's just how it is and couldnt fix it. Overall the room was musky and too small to move in but the rest of the hotel was fine. When asked to move to a different room I was told there was none available and yet the maintenance man said they barely had any guests and I should ask to move. Odd. Luckily I was only there two nights, but I have stayed at other palces in the area and would not return to this one. Score 5 out of 5 very easy transaction brian, Canton/Akron, OH, 2006-02-24 Alot of small shops and a good size mallThe staff was very friendly.they make you feel right at home . rooms very clean . easy parking.felt very safe. |
