Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Friendly staff, close to public transportation, but few amenities. Anonymous Taking the bus to Church St. in Burlington you can visit a number of shops as well as a mall, which will fulfill the many shopping desires for vacationers. The Days Inn in Shelburne has few amenities for those who are traveling. Although they offer a daily Continental Breakfast, there are no facilties within the hotel. The room was fairly comfortable, but the bed sheets were old and had "pills" on them. The room temperature was hard to regulate and one of the knobs was broken off the unit. The baseboard heat was not used and was dusty. There were no suitcase stands in the room and only two drawers for clothing. There was one rod missing from the curtain which made it difficult to open The bathroom was adqequate with a tub/shower and a hair dryer and other supplies were provided. The toilet made a dripping noise all the time (although I did not alert the staff to this). There was some information on area restaurants, but it was limited and outdated. The phone book was from 2004. The staff was pleasant and helpful during check-in/out and when asked questions. The public transportaion system is wonderful and inexpensive and the area attractions and malls are a compliment to the area. Shelburne is close to Burlington and is easy to reach by bus. The airport is also accessible by bus, which needs to be advertised more at the airport. I paid $23.00 for a taxi from the airport and only $2.50 to return by bus! Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at the Days Inn in Shelburne again due to its' lack of amenities (ie: restaurant, perhaps an indoor pool or exercise room) and the room situation as described above. Score 5 out of 5 Very inexpenive and nice! Anonymous, San Diego, CA There is a resturant down the streat that serves a good breakfast for $3.99, I can't remember the name so ask the front desk. Also, there is a really great italian place in the same area. Also ask the front desk.We were trying to save money when we booked this hotel, so we were not expecting much. When we arrived we were very suprised at how nice the hotel was. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were quite big and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They had a beautiful resturant area that had a continental breakfast, it looked really good, but there were so many resturants around we ate out everyday. The best part was the free wireless access, although you have to know how to configure it because they do not have a tech on site! Score 5 out of 5 Great overnight stay Edmund The Shelburne Day's Inn was comfortable, clean and quiet and staff pleasant. Was a little disappointed with breakfast, cereals too sweet. Some fruit such as bananas and apples would have been good extras. Score 5 out of 5 Close to businesses Karen Church Street area is about 10 minutes away. Many shops nearby on the main street. This hotel was nicely decorated, clean and quiet. The breakfast was generous and good quality. The check-in process was quick. It is close to restaurants, shops and sights. Great place to stay if visiting the Magic Hat Brewery! Score 5 out of 5 Great value for the price Angela, 2007-02-18 lots of skiing! The Days Inn in Burlington Vermont was a pleasant suprise. It is located with easy access to the highway and activities in the area. The rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, and super nice staff. The continental breakfast was very pleasing. Choices from english muffins, fresh donuts, bagels, bread, fruit, juice, coffee, milk, cereal... Excellent restaurants in the area! Although this is not your high end hotel, as it lacked the extra amenities such as pool, fitness room, bar/restaurant-we weren't there to hang out at the hotel anyway. There are so many activities in the area! We will be back! Score 5 out of 5 Clean rooms, courteous staff Keith, 2006-09-29 The staff on check in was very courteous. The room itself was clean and reasonably updated. Example: Tub had new curved shower rod that increases available space quite a bit. Setting is pretty nice and masks the fact that you are on a mafor throughway. My only complaint: no coffee pot in the room. Breakfast was included and was fine. Overall, for the price it was a very good stay. Score 1 out of 5 Stinking Rooms and Non Caring staff Ravi, Washington, DC, 2006-09-02 From the hotel take a left and within a mile you will see a breakfast place. the only one in the viscinity...I reached the hotel late as my flight was delayed. The room stinked and the stench was horrible. It was coming from the sink in the bathroom. Since it was late I went of to sleep. The breakfast was a joke. They did not tea either. When I was checking out I told the manager about the stink. He said ok as if he did not care. He was not rude either. No apology or nothing just ok and he had my check out documents ready. I was so mad I asked about the complain form. He made we wait for 10 minutes and gave me one. Horrible Score 5 out of 5 My review of Burlington-Days Inn Shelburne charles, 2006-07-28 The Vermont teddy bear comp. is a short drive from here, lots of things to do in Burlington. The Days Inn In Shelburne VT. was very clean and comfortable. They had a very nice pool out front. There was a very nice restaurant nearby and a short drive to the city of Burlington. They had a great continental breakfast in the morning. Score 5 out of 5 Great Stay Anonymous, 2006-05-07 If the kids are tired of hamburgers and highway fast food, try the buffet-style restaurant across the street. It's cheap and family-friendly.I have stayed here in the past. I have always had great service. Location is in a great location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here again. Score 5 out of 5 Nice clean budget hotel Cheryl, Hartford, CT, 2006-04-19 We just needed a place to stay overnight before we went to visit a couple colleges. Not a lot of extras but a nice clean place to stay. I called ahead because we needed to add an extra guest. We originally had a room with 2 double beds. They upgraded the room to 2 doubles and a sofabed and only charged the extra person fee of $7. The room was nice and large with a table and chair also. They also had a basic continental breakfast, nothing hot. |
