Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 My review of Killington Grand Resort Hotel Kim, Chicago, IL, 2006-10-13 Food choices near the resort are limited in off ski season. There are several restaurants located if you take a left out of the resort and right at the first intersection. The Grand Killington Resort had spacious rooms that were very clean. The outdoor pool was incredible with the option to enter and exit the pool from inside the spa. They had one restaurant on the premis called Ovations. The food and service was wonderful but reservations are a must even in the off season. We were there during peak folliage season and the room had a magnificent view of trees and streams. Check in was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this Resort. Score 5 out of 5 great family hotel maureen, Boston, MA, 2006-09-24 grand resort was great... pool was awesome, rooms were great, location great, just restaurant left a lot to be desired, slow service, and bad food, would recommend eating elsewhere. Overall a wonderful experience! Score 5 out of 5 An excellent value Katheryn, Hartford Ct/Springfi, CT, 2006-09-04 Green Mountain Climbing Wall in Rutland is right on Rte 4 - just a short drive from the resort. Incredibly experienced and friendly staff, many diverse climbing options, and welcoming atmosphere for both experienced climbers and newbies is a huge plus. HIGHLY recommended! The Killington Grand Resort Hotel is one of my most favored places to stay, and definitely my favorite in Southern Vermont. The one bedroom with suite was lovely, spacious and well appointed. The balcony overlooking the pool area and mountainside was a nice touch. The kitchenette was fully equipped. Staff were very personable and helpful. The facilities (workout room, sauna, steam room, jacuzzis and pool) were the nicest of any hotel that I have ever stayed in. It is an excellent value for the price. The Killington Grand is also very conveniently located - lots to do on the mountain itself and less than 10 minutes drive to Rutland. An excellent value for a very reasonable price. Score 5 out of 5 Very family friendly Diana, 2006-02-17 Skiing is great!Great place to stay. The skiing is superb. The outdoor heating swimming pool is wonderful. Great restaurants nearby. If you like Italian, Peppino's is the place to go! Score 5 out of 5 Nice Room & Great Pool/Fitness Center Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2005-09-05 If you're up for a new adventure, take the gondola up Killington and mountain bike down (they rent bikes at the base lodge). We visited over Labor Day weekend and were pleased with the hotel and associated recreational opportunities. The comfortable one-BR suite had one bath (two would have been nicer for our family of four), with a Bed & TV in the bedroom and a Murphy Bed and a fold-out couch, TV, dining table, small deck, and kitchenette (fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc.) in the other room. The fitness center consists of the outdoor pool, 2 large hot-tubs, a steam room, a sauna, an exercise room with lots of machines, and nice locker-rooms with showers. There's a small playground/sandbox for young kids just outside the fitness center. This is the warmest pool we've ever experienced, indoor or out. Spectacular views from the pool (except when a wedding reception surrounded it one evening). The hotel has free WIFI, though not all the access-points were fully functional and the front desk was no help (we had signal in our room but had to go close to the lobby to reach the Internet). The hotel is adjacent to a golf course and there's a cute putting green in front of the hotel for kids. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-06-20 No review provided by user |
