Down the street from University of Vermont.

The University Inn was perfect for being close to the airport. The shuttle service was prompt. When I reported that my sliding door did not lock in my room, they moved me and also provided an upgrade.

University Inns & Suites

There is a mall located adjacent to the hotel parking lot and several specialty shops and a grocery store nearby.

The room at the University Inns & Suites was quite large. There is a separate vanity area from the bathroom. We did not use the restaurant or other hotel facilities. The hotel was near the airport and had an airport shuttle service available.

THE STANDARD ROOMS THEY HAD WERE LOCATED IN A SEPERATE BUILDING FROM THE MAIN HOTEL.THE ROOM WAS DARK AND UNCLEAN.THE SEPERATE BUILDING LOOKED LIKE AN OLD MOTEL THEY PURCHASED AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT WHEN CONSTRUCTION STARTED AND NOT MUCH REPAIR OR UPDATING HAS TAKEN PLACE SINCE.APON CHECK-IN AT 2:50PM WE WERE TOLD (RATHER SHARPLY)OUR ROOM WAS STILL NOT READY AND THAT TECHNICALLY CHECK-IN IS AT 3PM SO WE WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK & GO SOMEPLACE AND KEEP BUSY FOR A BIT.AFTER A 5 HOUR CAR RIDE AND MOVING OUR SON INTO COLLEGE, TO BE TOLD THAT 10 MINUTES EARLY IS REALY PUTTING THEM OUT WAS NOT EXACTLY COMFORTING AND SET THE TONE FOR THE KIND OF SERVICE AND STAY WE HAD AHEAD OF US.NOT ONLY WOULD I NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO A FRIEND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO SOMEONE I COULDN'T STAND.QUITE FRANKLY I CAN'T THINK OF ANYONE WHO'S PISSED ME OFF ENOUGH TO DESERVE IT.

Stay Away

With all of the generic hotel/motel accomodations in Burlington,I would highly recommend that you avoid this one. It was in the middle of a busy intersection with difficult access, backing up to a shopping center. The hallway carpets were musty smelling, the janitorial supplies were sitting on a hall stairway, and the rooms were pure generic and worn. We passed several newer, classier generics within a quarter mile of this place while driving there.

Okay place to stay

Mall and great bookstore closeby.

We only stayed one night. The room was okay. It was pretty clean. However, the wallpaper was peeling away in one spot and the curtains were water stained. Not overly impressed or dissatisfied.

Good location, but bad upkeep

Very close to downtown Burlington, and amenities are within walking distance.

For the cost per night, I would have expected the non-smoking room I was in to not smell like cigarette smoke and Febreze. The staff were excellent and very helpful, but the hotel is somewhat shabby. The "patio" furniture was falling apart, the "fitness center" had two old treadmills and three semi-functioning bikes and stunk of mildew, and there were no locked doors leading into the rooms on the first floor. Especially because of the location (downtown area) I would expect at least a few safety precautions. On the plus side, the continental breakfast was very diverse and nicely laid out.
