Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 WB's Review Wilbert, 2005-09-25 They were located near restaurants and the MallThe Howard Johnson Inn express wasn't one of my better stays. During the night time, there were large spiders outside the door and if you left the door open fro 10 seconds, they would enter your room. The bathroom was extremely small and the tub was dirty. Score 5 out of 5 Good Budget Place Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-08-06 main drag with tons of dining placesWe rented 2 rooms for one night on a leisure trip driving south. This place was a good deal for the price. If your goal is to stay in a relatively safe/clean/functional place for low-cost - this was the best experience we had. You could tell the staff was really committed to making this work. I assume it was owner operated by a close knit group of folks who took real ownership for the place and its success. Score 1 out of 5 Never again Anonymous, 2005-07-31 Confusion at check in. Room was warm and had stale odor. A/C ran for a few minutes, then system shut off, and would not start up again. Mattress uncomfortable. Fridge was unplugged unable to keep perishables. After an hour we advised hostess we were checking out. Nothing she could do for me since I made reservation through internet service. Located a Comfort Inn not too far away ,that felt like a palace compared to HoJo. In addition, we left a battery charger plugged into the wall outlet that contained 4 batteries. We called back front desk several times to ask them to check our room, and we would come to pick up, but no one ever called us back. So, can only assume motel kept the charger. Very uncomfortable experience! |
