Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Value and Location Anonymous, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-07-05 Chincoteague is a funky, laid-back beach town, not developed like Ocean City, and is a great place for kids.The Best Value Inn & Suites was a great deal - it is located in the center of the town, with many types of restaurant options near-by, including a great ice-cream place called "Mr. Whippy". The room was large enough, clean and comfortable, with quiet and effective air conditioning, which was crucial in the 95+ degree heat and humidity of the July 4th weekend. It's only a few miles' drive to the beach at Tom's Cove at the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge, so you can drive over at 5 a.m. to watch the sunrise (and see some great birds). Quaint, but impeccably clean and maintained. The wifi was "iffy" in our room but always available right outside our door on the covered porch encircling the motel. A picnic area w/several highend gas grills for use by guests and the Pool are located in the central court yard, would be ideal for a relaxed casual vacation. The carpet was filthy, the room smelled and the walls were paper thin. Just go to a different hotel and spend the extra $25.00.
