Airport Convenience

The Airport Plaza Hotel Reno was minutes from Reno International Airport. That would be the only reason I would stay there or recommend it to anyone else. Our room had cobb webbs and bugs hanging on the ceiling, the gym equipment did not work and the water did not drain in the bath tub. It was OK for an overnight stay, but I would not want an extended stay. For anyone needing a location close to the airport for an early morning flight out, this is satisfactory.

Perfect location for travel out of Reno airport

There were a number of casinos close by

This hotel is right across the street from the airport, so it was perfect for our very early morning flight. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean, spacious and large.

Gambling

The Reno Airport Plaza hotel needs some help. The employees they had were helpful and understanding yet they were shorthanded in all areas. From our first stay there a few years ago, this hotel has gone downhill.

Not worth the money we spent

The rooms were dirty, with obvious signs of a previous guest, like the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned or disinfected. The beds were really lumpy and hard, I wonder, did they change the sheets from the last guest? The hotel staff started to come to our door at 8:00 am to clean, she knocked with her key once and didn't wait for a response and then barged in. When I tried to explain to her that I did not want housekeeping, she didn't understand me, she didn't speak english. We were not due to check out for another 2 days, and I had not put the housekeeping sign out. I really do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much nicer, cheaper places to stay in Reno.

Under construction

The hotel is under major construction in entry way. The front desk was unorganized and changing out computer equipment when I arrived. After waiting 10 mintues while 3 hotel employees were at the counter with one customer, I was finally helped. The person who helped me was rude and proceeded to tell me they didn't get our corporate fax information. I walked out. If your on a short trip with a loaded schedule, the last thing you want is this type of service.

Good location

Close to the casinos of Reno - both downtown and on Virginia Street.

The Airport Plaza Hotel in Reno is very convenient for those flying our of the airport. They offer shuttle service to the airport, and free parking for hotel guests. They are currently undergoing some major remodeling, so you have to put up with the construction mess, but it is still a good place to stay.
