The room was large, plenty of space for hanging clothes and king bed was almost as comfortable as home. Pool, sauna, whirl-pool and exercise equipment were all clean and working. Score 5 out of 5 Great location, and very comfortable Anonymous, Denver, CO The Shilo Inn had all the restuarants, shopping, and sports entertainment that we were looking for.The shilo Inn in Salt Lake city was a very comfortalble environment, and the room decor was enjoyalbe. The room had everything we needed for our vaction, and the hotel was easy find from the airport. In all, we would diffently choose the Shilo Inn again. Score 5 out of 5 Sightseer Friendly John, 2007-02-27 There is a huge open mall 5 blocks from the hotel. Tons of eating establishments, theatres, and many unique shops. The Shilo Inn at Downtown Salt Lake City was very enjoyable. The spa area was very relaxing and in good condition. The room was very clean and worth the price. The windows on the room were sealed shut. I like an open window when I sleep. The fan feature on the air conditioner seemed to work just as well. The Shilo Inn was very close to bus routes, Morman Temple, and many shopping experiences. I would definitly stay at this hotel again. Score 3 out of 5 My review of Shilo Inn Salt Lake City Anonymous, 2007-02-22 The room had a peculiar smell like Garlic or something that seemed to be in the walls. The bedding was fine but it just smelled like Garlic. The breakfast was just okay but we purchased some toast and cocoa because the menu was very limited. Score 5 out of 5 Very Accommendating Rosalie, 2007-02-17 Many restaurants and sights within walking distants. The Shilo Inn was a comfortable place to stay. I enjoyed the warm cookies each evening. The front desk staff was very informed and knowledgeable about the area. I was really surprise about all of the amentities, i.e. complimentary breakfest each morning and free coupons to surrounding restaurants, Score 4 out of 5 Good Value, central local Anonymous, Portland, ME, 2007-02-10 Good coffee and breakfast/lunch sandwiches availible in the small shop 3 doors west of the hotel.Shiloe Downtown SLC is a good value. A step above basic needs for not too much money. The breakfast that comes with the room is much better than the usual continintal but is limited and wears out after a few days. But the hotel has a very central location and good dining options are within a short drive and most within walking distance. Ski resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons are 20 minutes and Park City is 25-30 minutes . Staff are friendly and helpful. Score 4 out of 5 a little work needed Gregory, Tampa, FL, 2007-02-08 Great sandwich shop about 1 block west called Toasters. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. Free parking is included. I have 3 complaints. The toilet didn't flush properly, sometimes taking 3 attempts to get it to flush. The sink wouldn't drain water (same reason the toilet wouldn't flush?) and I couldn't regulate the heat in the room. I had the thermosatat turned off in the middle of winter and the room was 80 degrees. Score 4 out of 5 good value patrick, New York, NY, 2007-02-07 The 2 brew pubs were very close and offered great food, service and microbrews. The room was a nice size and the free breakfast was great. The hot tub was closed for 2 days for some unannounced reason which was a downer. The ski bus was very convenient (right out front) as well as the free airport shuttle by the hotel. The hotel was overall a good choice and value for the money. Score 5 out of 5 Great place to get away! Flora, Chicago, IL, 2007-02-05 What can I say? I walked outside the hotel and was facing the Convention Center! Turned right and there was Temple Square. Walked in any direction for a minute or two and there was everything! The gorgeous churches, the Delta Center, the museums. Restaurants, you name it.This was my first, and not last time staying at the Shilo Inn. The staff are super friendly and very helpful! Although it was a change from Chicago, I went to Salt Lake City to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Windy City. I was amazed at the location of the hotel! It was literally walking distance to everything. I had set up spa treatments at Akasha Spa (which was fabulous!) and it took me 10 minutes max to walk there from the hotel. My room was great I was put in a suite on the 12th floor which had a breathtaking view of the city and the mountains. The next few days that I was in Salt Lake, I just alked around and was able to take in everything from the culture, the beautiful buildings, and everyday life in the city. |
