Score 2 out of 5 Not entirely satisfied Patricia, Billings, MT, 2007-02-01 We had a long wait at the airport for the shuttle. Then the van was very dirty inside and out. Granted, there was snow on the ground and some roads were wet but other motel shuttles were much cleaner and we could tell this one hadn't been washed in a long time. The lobby area carpet and hall carpets were dirty. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we were very happy with that part of our stay. This Ramada is a short shuttle ride from the airport so is conveniently located in an area where there are other motels. This was important to us since we were only overnighting between flights. Score 2 out of 5 unfriendly staff Anonymous, San Diego, CA, 2006-11-24 I arrive there on thanksgiving night(cold and hungry) and of course, we are hungry so I ask the girl in the front desk where to eat, she said no place because of thanksgiving. I can sure understand that because of thanksgiving, the dinning inside the hotel are closed, but as a local girl, how could she say no place to eat? and the network in the hotel doesn't work either, I can her, she said that she have no control on it, only the manager have control and the manager won't come until 11:00pm(It is 7:00 then). The next morning, no free breakfast because of the thanksgiving again, thanksgiving is become a reason why their service are so bad, so disappointed Score 1 out of 5 Unfriendly, Dirty! Anonymous, 2006-11-19 The Ramada Salt Lake City Airport was dirty and worn down. The room didnt have enough towels, toilet paper etc. in the room. We were only staying one night and I should not of had to go get more items. The staff was unfriendly and rude, particularly the morning manager. We waited around for the hotel restaurant to openbad ideano one showed up to open that morning? So here we were, stuck in a city we did not know and nowhere to eat. Also, SLC visitors beware, if you want to sit and order a drink/food in the hotel bar or any other SLC bar for that matter, be prepared to purchase a temporary pub membership? Weird city! No indoor pool! Score 5 out of 5 Quiet and comfortable David, 2006-11-13 Ramada Salt Lake City Airport is designed to meet the needs of people traveling for business. It accomplishes this very well. The staff are attentive, the hotel is clean, it is located a short drive from the airport, and has the usual businessman amenities. As much as the hotel serves the needs of traveling businesspeople it survives because it accommodates stranded travelers (people who have missed flights for any reason). Because of this it is closer to the airport that it is to metropolitan Salt Lake City. Nevertheless it is a reasonable distance from the airport so that there is no airport or freeway noise. If you're looking for a place to rest between flights, or hold business meetings this hotel is a good choice. Score 4 out of 5 Paving Anonymous, 2006-10-22 The hotel access from the road was not good. Many baracades were up because they were resurfacing the hotel driveway...making it hard to find parking space. Then the road on one corner was torn up and we had to go the wrong way in order to get into the hotel. Hopefully this will be temporary. Score 4 out of 5 Reasonable Value Airport Hotel robin, 2006-10-18 The Ramada at Salt Lake International Airport was a reasonable standard for a one night stay at an airport. Athough not in its first flush of youth, the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was acceptable although the service was slow & the tables could have been cleaner. Airport shuttle was efficient & on time. Perhaps some of the many staff around would benefit from Customer Training sessions. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-10-17 No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 Fast OK stay Anonymous, Albany, NY, 2006-10-15 I checked in at midnight and was out by 6:00 AM, to catch a plane. It was fine hotel for my stay, but it would be hard to judge at such a short stay. The only thing I found to be negative was a stain on the sheets, I could tell they were clean so it didn't bother me too much but I guess I feel like if there is a stain they should bleached so you don't see it or thrown out. I stayed there since it was so close to the airport so I didn't have to get up earlier to make it on my flight. This worked out well with their complimentary shuttle service. Score 4 out of 5 Convenient location; clean premises; disappointing food Daniel, San Francisco, CA, 2006-09-27 If you are driving on I-80 this property is an easy find and return. Overall the hotel is well maintained and clean. A major problem is with the bar and smoking (unusual issues in Utah). The lobby was literally filled with smoke to the point that the registration staff deplored their working conditions. Smoking does not appear to be permitted in the dining facilities but the air from the adjacent bar is so foul it provides an involuntary smoking experience! The biggest disappointment is the food. The facility is tidy and (air quality aside) inviting but both the dinner and breakfast were moderately prices with less than moderate quality products. Bottom line: if you don't plan to eat there you will find a very comfortable bed and a clean room. |
