Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Clean, Plain and Noisy Anonymous, 2006-08-06 A short walk of say two to three blocks will provide many dining options.The Metropolitan was clean and the room was spacious. The furnishings overpowered the room and were not a good choice considering the space. The bathroom was adequate but the hotel was stingy with shampoo and soaps. The most disturbing part of the stay was the noise level. The hotel caters to groups and those in attendance stayed up outside our door and above us till two in the morning. Overall for the money we have always done much better with accomodations in Salt Lake. The paint covering the tile in the bathtub was peeling. 4. The carpets were dirty. Comments: When these items were mentioned to the staff they seemed unconcerned and not willing to help. 5. The pool area was dirty with sand piles from ants and cigarette butts in the corners. 6. The hot tub was not in working order. Comments: I had my grandchildren with me and I had to spend a lot of time keeping them away from the above mentioned pool area debris. Positives: 1. The Tempur-Pedic beds were excellent. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will never recommend it to anyone!! Score 5 out of 5 Very clean and friendly JUNE, Burbank, CA, 2006-05-22 Just a short drive away we found a old train station, we went in and found that it entered into a great mall that had everything you could image available.The Metropolian Inn was very clean and comfortable, we loved the beds (Tempa-pedic). The bathroom was large and had all the amenities we needed. The location could not have been more convenient for us. We liked that the Inn had a continent type breakfast in the lobby, the lobby was very nicely decorated and always had fresh flowers. The desk person was extremely friendly and helpful with what it was really like to live in Utah. This will be the place we will always stay when we visit our family members that lives in Utah. The bathroom was very clean and the staff checked and clean every day. The location was very good -- it was really only a few minutes away from my class location. The reception desk was helpful with questions we had. I would definitely stay there again--the price was good and the location was excellent. The furniture in the rooms has a very "art deco" feel and is very sharp. Staff was very friendly and the price was great.
