Good value motel

Eric, 2007-03-04

If you are planning on skiing there are several ski shops right next to the hotel that offer discounts on lift tickets from 15-20%. Within 3 blocks we found excellent restaurants and brew houses.

The Best Western Garden Hotel was exactly the type of value hotel that we were looking for on our ski trip. The location in Salt Lake provided easy access to all the major ski areas surrounding Salt Lake. The room was comfortable and clean. We used the hot tub after skiing each day although we would have preferred an inside facility. The only negative was the dining facility. The meals were reasonable and the food quality was good but the service was poor. Our overall experience was positive and I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

Convenient and OK for price

Anonymous, 2006-11-19

We did like Macaroni's Restaurant and Cafe Pierpont and Olive Garden.

Room was not as clean as it could have been. We found a black skirt behind the curtains, wrappers on the floor, and the heat fan was very noisy. Otherwise, for the price, the room was comfortable enough.

Very family friendly/Business friendly

Peggy, Chicago, IL, 2006-10-29

There were numerous resturants with in walking distance of the motel as well as other anemities

I was concerned with a window security problem and it would be nice if family and business sections were divided when your there on business and you have a family of kids take a room next to you and the adults leave the kids there alone and they are screaming and playing quite loud while your trying to sleep to be fresh for business meeting early in the morning its quite a problem. And I realize your trying to fix up the place but I got paid on one of my outfits because when I first walked in no wet paint signs were posted could tell there was fresh paint but could not tell where til to late. But for a few minor problems I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Great Business Amenities

Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-10-29

I was very happy with the hotel, it's in good walking from the convention center, there's plenty of restaurants nearby, etc. I would love to stay again when I go to my next conference next year.

Not the obvious choice but a good one

Anonymous, 2006-10-29

Lots of good, solid restaurants. Also, a McDonald's nearby.

There are a lot of nice more fancy hotels in Salt Lake but few offer the same ameneties for half the price as does this one. The staff was friendly and the room spacious. The "continental breakfast" which included hot waffles was a pleasant surprise. Since this breakfast is included in the price, this made it an even better value.

Very Satisfactory Hotel

Hazel, 2006-10-29

There are restaurants very close if needed. Hotel is located close to the Trax.

The Best Western Garden Inn was very comfortable and has a good location. It is not far from downtown or the Trax to get to other locations. It was clean, and the continental breakfast was very good. Everything was very clean.
