Anonymous, 2006-07-15 The Grand Canyon (Northern Rim) was about an hour and one-half drive away and Zion and Bryce National Parks were also near. Kanab was centrally located to all of these natural wonders.The Best Western Red Hills sat at the foot of the mountains and we had a beautiful view from our hotel room. The city of Kanab seemed to be driven at a much slower pace than most American cities. We felt that the atmosphere was friendly, welcoming, and stress free. The town itself seemed to be a throw-back to the 1960s. The room itself was lovely and the hotel staff was willing to assist us if needed. Restaurants were in walking distance. Score 5 out of 5 Great beds. debra, 2006-06-12 There are four different restaurants within walking distance of the hotel--"different" meaning each one offers a different menu style. There is more than one clothing store, a movie house, and church within walking distance. The view from our window of the red hills was a real plus.The size of the room and all amenities were very good; pool was easily accessible; staff were eager and helpful. After staying in several hotels previous to this stay, what impressed us most was the comfort and proper dressing of the beds. So many hotels make up the beds as if they were slept in by pygmies!--inadequate sheets, blankets, matress pads, etc. We slept well each night and woke each morning without cold, uncovered feet. We liked the town of Kanab and that the hotel was situated so that we could walk to shops and restaurants. I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends.
