The Travelers Inn and Suites South Lake Tahoe, a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, is located in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, CA; just off Hwy 50, only 200 yards from the Nevada state line casinos including Harrahs, and Caesars. We are just 100 yards from Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. We are only minutes from Stateline Medical Center, Lake Tahoe Community College, and Reno Tahoe International Airport.
Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Not even worth it. Matthew, Oakland, CA We thought that we would be getting a great deal by staying at this hotel. Our belief was that because it was so cheap that it wouldn't matter how bad it was. We were wrong. If the hotel paid us to stay there, we would not stay there again. It was dirty, it felt like everything in the room was going to fall apart, the bed was uncomfortable and we refused to use the shower (for seeming lack of sanitation). We ended up not staying there a second night. Do not be fooled by the cheap price. It is not worth it. Score 4 out of 5 Good location Anonymous, San Diego, CA Ski and snow boarding near byGood location and friendly service average room Score 4 out of 5 Good price Anonymous Close to casinos and Heavenly's Gondola.Travelers Inn was a good value for the money. It was a comfortable stay in a good size room. The bathtub did not have a drain stopper so we could not take a bath. The shower was pretty good with enough hot water. The heater worked well since it was very, very cold outside. The cleanliness was pretty good. I thought the pillows were not soft enough. Score 4 out of 5 very friendly Anonymous, Hilo, HI wonderful indian restaurant, forget the name sorry but just down the street away from heavenly on the left hand side! The staff at this hotel are woderful-they checked us in quickly and gave us lots of information we needed on the area, including dining options and ski resort information. We had a room with a lovely large king size bed which was nice but no bath and there was a jacuzzi in the rooom but we weren't allowed to use it unless we paid an additional $25 per night! The room was very quiet but we had only one mall window-not typical i think in other rooms. It was cleanish! I found other peoples hair in the bathroom etc which was gros and they didnt clean the room each day or bring us fesh towels etc-they simply threw the bedcovers back over the bed and thats it. We expected more for the money we paid but the staff were so nice it made up for it a little. Excellent location. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Travelers Inn and Suites South Lake Tahoe Anonymous, Jacksonville, FL, 2007-02-25 It is close to casinos and shopping. Plus you could ride a shuttle to Heavenly. It was an older hotel that was somewhat clean but run down especially the bathroom. It was okay for one night but I thought the rate was more than it should have been. Score 2 out of 5 Good location but that's all Mats, 2006-06-26 Walking distance to Casinos, grossery and dinning.Totally worn down room. Poor function and noisy air condition. The room was not properly cleaned. The location was alright with walking distance to center of South Lake Tahoe. Score 2 out of 5 Not a happy camper Anonymous, Oakland, CA, 2006-06-11 I was quite disatisfied with my stay at the Travelers Inn and Suites in South Lake Tahoe. The room had a foul odor and all the furniture and fixtures were quite old. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend or family members and for the money I could have stayed at a better establishment. |
