Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 dirt old carpet Anonymous chec around there are plenty of other places to stay.we ended up staying at a motel 6.it was very clean and cheap.we did not end up staying there after looking at the room.the carpet was a thick dirty shag that looked about 30 years old.the bed sunk in in,just from looking at it! too bad the motel is in a good location. Score 4 out of 5 close to the casinos and nightlife Anonymous very good location. close to the mountains and the nightlife Score 1 out of 5 Old and Worn Out Kenneth, 2006-09-25 This hotel was probably nice in 1970...while the room was clean, the bed was horrible, a taco bed...when you get in it everything rolls to the middle!!. Decor had not been updated in decades, the TV didn't work, the management consisted of a live in owner who was completely bland and not interested in my opinion of the shabby service and accomodations. Room cleaning occurred 1 out of 3 days and I had to ask for fresh towels as they were all paper thin and couldn't be used twice. Bad Hotel...close to casino's is the only positive about this place! Score 2 out of 5 very impolite Ladda, 2006-09-04 Hotel close to Casino and Shopping center.Actually when check out we have to return the keys to reception (for money back deposit),unfortunately to early we ring the bell after that the man who take care reception very mad to us so impolite. Score 1 out of 5 Worst place Donald, New York, NY, 2006-08-07 We did not stay there. The rooms had no air condioning, furniture was broken down, ripped and soiled bed spreads, all rooms wre full of smoke, it is a dump. Besides that there was no attendent there at 4:30 PM had to wait for over an hour for someone to show up and wait on us to show us the discusting rooms. NOT RECOMENDED !!!!!!!!!!! Score 2 out of 5 Disrepair James, Pittsburgh, PA, 2006-02-21 Room was dirty.Remote did't work.Would not stay there again,Ever Score 1 out of 5 Tahoe Queen Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-09-11 It is very run down and unsafe, no deadlocks on the doors, now locks on the windows, etc. I wasn't looking for the Ritz. It was not a good experience. When we came in the tv was sitting on a chair for some reason. The bed was very old and not comfortable in the least. This place looks like 1963, but not a nice 1963. We were very dissatisfied and could not wait to leave. The towels were about the size of a dish towel. The maid was ridiculous. This place is just a dump. Thanks Score 1 out of 5 Review of Tahoe Queen Hotel Joy, 2005-08-07 Stay at the nice little hotel just around the corner. The Tahoe Queen Hotel is straight out of the 70's with its vibrating bed, box fan, and manual TV. In an area known to get hot in the summer, this hotel is guaranteed to keep you hot throughout your stay as there is no air conditioning. Unfortunately, for those of us used to our creature conforts this is not the hotel for us. But there is good news! Just around the corner there is a nice little hotel with air conditioning, remote controls, an ice machine and guess what! It's $40 cheaper a night!!! Score 4 out of 5 Hot in Tahoe Anonymous, 2005-07-17 Although the Tahoe Queen could be described as somewhat charming due to its age and the eccentric old guy who greets you as you check in, it's major draw back is that it has no air conditioning. In Tahoe in the summer, the heat can be overwhelming. We experienced the unairconditioned room and a wall heater that refused to be turned off! The good thing about the Tahoe Queen is that it's just a few blocks away from a refreshing dip in Lake Tahoe. Score 1 out of 5 Minus 2 stars Brian, Minneapolis, MN, 2005-07-11 I can not understand why this hotel had a two star rating. There was no A/C in the room and no screens on the windows. The pool was ok but the hot tub was broke. Also the Ice machine has been broken for six months according to the rarely seen manager. Also no maid service and when I asked for toilet paper I was told they were running low and they only gave me one roll even though I only had a half of a roll when I checked in. This was probabally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I had to explain to my sister and mother why I was staying in such a horrible place for my sister's wedding. I actually checked out one day early and had to spend 129.00 to stay in a better hotel. Waste of money and my time. |
