Not far to go for a fun night out.The Inn by the Lake was a very cozy place to stay. Normally we like to stay at the big casinos but were very satisfied with the cleanliness, coziness, and affordability of the hotel. This is a great home away from home. The Lake was across the street.I found the two chairs on the balcony were a great place to sit and enjoy the scenery. For future I will request that we be on the Lake side of the building so we will have a lake view. It would have been helpful to know that the rooms both had a small refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker in them. The lake is a stones throw from hotel. The entertainment and casinos were with in 10mins. There was alot of traffic near the casinos but doable.The Check in went great. The air conditioner worked well, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and everything appeared to be clean. There was a broken door jam on our room, which made the door a bit difficult to open at times, but other than that, everything was fine. The breakfast buffet wasn't fancy, but offered a nice variety of choices. We had a very spacious room with a king-sized bed. There was a separate sink and mirror area outside the bathroom -- very convenient for one person to be using while the other was taking a shower. The hotel has a nice breakfast room (complimentary breakfast items) and a workout gym and pool. Unfortunately, the restaurant next door, while an easy walk, doesn't offer much in the way of cuisine -- the food quality was only fair. We mainly chose this hotel to watch the July 4 fireworks show, and while the hotel does provide chairs and blankets, the view is not that great. One could do just as well to stay somewhere less expensive and go across the street with the locals and watch from the park.
