Score 5 out of 5 Friendly and helpful staff Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-09-28 3 Peaks Resort was in a great location just a couple short blocks from the lake and only a few steps from resteraunts and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cute, had plenty of room and cabin-like feel. ALthought the walls were thin, things were quiet by 11pm. The hot tub was a great way to wrap up a day in Tahoe! Score 2 out of 5 Disappointing jon, Sacramento, CA, 2006-07-17 A good dining option for adult who like sports bars was Cecil's it's on the main drag next to Embassy Suites. The 3 Peaks Resort in South Lake Tahoe had caught our eye more than once. We stay in South Lake alot and had strolled by the Resort several times. Upon check-in one guest was being helped and there was some sort of problem, which took four staff members to handle. More than once different staff members made eye contact with us - but never said hello or that it would be just a minute and we would be helped. Once we got to our room the noises from the room next to us and above us were noticable - to the point that we turned on the t.v. to muffle the sounds. The location of our room was parellel to two main roads, so there was quite alot of road noise. We made the best of the visit and enjoyed ourselves, but I was dissappointed the motel stay was uncomfortable. I think part of the problem was due to a very busy weekend in tahoe-celebrity golf tourny, rascal flats concert, and a summer weekend. So the traffic on the roads surrounding the property was constant. The resort was booked solid too. Maybe on a quieter weekend or weekday we would have had a nicer stay - but I would not recommend it to friend nor foe. Score 5 out of 5 Great quick getaway destination! Anonymous, 2006-07-09 Grocery store 1 block away, perfect if you get a room with a kitchen!3 Peaks resort was great!! We enjoyed the location, and really found it to be more than we expected! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and very pleasant. Within walking distance to beach and casinos. We have already shared how pleased we were with friends and hope to visit 3 peaks again soon! Score 5 out of 5 3 Peaks - Great place to stay Juliaette, Baltimore, MD, 2006-07-02 Having a pass to the beach is great, but you can walk to other beach locations that are public (use without fee). The Gondaola is within short walking distance.I will definitely go back and stay with 3 Peaks again! Refrigerator and microwave in the room made meals very economical. I was on extended vacation, and upon return to Peaks later in the month I was given an upgrade without additional charges. Great location to beach and Casinos. Very easy to walk to stores in the area, and The Gondola! Score 2 out of 5 Very loud guests Randy, 2006-07-01 They have access to a nice beach at the lake just a couple blocks away.I had to call the front desk because of peole upstairs moving furniture and whatever. This was going on til after midnight. Cleanning staf plyed basketball in the parking lot til around 11:00 pm. The rooms were nice, the pillow cases had make-up all over them but there was extra pillows in the room. It was a okay place for our dogs, and after the noise was settled down we did get some rest. Be careful what you do at this place for there is a charge for everything you can imagine. At least this place is pet friendly! Score 4 out of 5 A comfortable stay Robert, San Francisco, CA, 2006-06-24 Very short walk to casinos, shopping and the Heavenly Valley Gondola.Very clean and comfortable pet friendly hotel. Our room was upgraded to a mini-suite with a limited kitchen and a home theater system in the living area. The only drawback is that the rooms are not air conditioned (there were, however, two ceiling fans). We would stay here again. |
