Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 My review of Best Western Southpark Inn & Suites alvin, Houston, TX, 2006-11-18 The hotel's location was excellent for us. The room was comfortable and met all our needs. The room size was adequate, and well maintained. The staff did all that was expected. I would not hesitate to visit again if the cost does not increase. Score 5 out of 5 Wonderful Location Peggy, Newark, NJ, 2006-06-05 Park your car and walk to the great shopping, which is right across the road from the motel. The Best Western in Tyler, TX is a rare gem. This was our first visit and it will be our hotel every time we travel from now on. The room was very spacious. There was a desk and chair, with an internet connection right on the desk. There were two phones: one beside the bed and one on the desk, so if you are working on your computer you would not have to get up the use the phone. Our room had two queen-size beds and a table with two chairs. The room and bathroom were very clean. My granddaughter was with us and she loved going down for the continental breakfast every morning. Also, the pool was a big hit with us. The location was excellent. There was an Olive Garden, Best Buy, an all-night Walgreen, a steak house and a Sonic....all right across the road. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Best Western Southpark Inn & Suites Anonymous, 2006-05-05 The location is very convenient if you don't know Tyler well. The Best Western Stovall was clean & comfortable. The clerk was rude at check in. Her attitude began to deterriorate when the door card wouldn't work and she had to re-sensisitize it. Later in the evening, I left the room to get a soda. When I returned, I was unable to unlock the door to my room. When I reported it to her, she became irate and threatened to throw me out of the hotel. She accused me of tampering with the door. I did not rest well that night. I had to take a U.S. Postal Service exam early the next morning. I haven't received the results, but I'm certain the negative experience affected my ability to perform at my best. Score 5 out of 5 Pleasurable for business and/or pleasure Cathy, Dallas, TX, 2006-04-19 The location was in the heart of shopping and restaurants in Tyler. The Best Western was a great place to stay. I was able to combine business (with a large room with desk and internet) and pleasure (immaculate pool and area). The room was very large, decorated with an easy chair and ottoman to give it a homey feel. The bathroom was large with ample counter space. There was even a refrigerator and microwave. The large screen TV added to make this an enjoyable experience and will stay here on future trips to Tyler. Great location in town. Score 5 out of 5 Clean and Friendly Anonymous, Rochester, NY, 2005-07-25 The room was large and clean.
