Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Nice place for weekend getaway Michael, 2007-02-18 No need to rent car if going for weekend. There are shuttles, etc., from airport and you can walk to everything as long as 1 mile doesn't scare youDrove in from airport, very easy to find. Location is good at one end of the riverwalk so you get to see a lot as you walk to the more happining bar/restaurant area just a short distance away. Hotel itself was older with character so I was afraid the rooms would be small but our room was large and very nice. Room was larger so it was a treat. Only thing that would make it better is if the windows were washed, they needed cleaning in my opinion. They did open, however, which I always like. Last note: elevators were fast. Score 5 out of 5 Good Weekend Get-a-way Anonymous, 2007-02-18 Right near the Riverwalk with Restaurants, shopping, clubs, etc.My husband and I had a great time at this hotel while we were in San Antonio for the weekend. It was right on the Riverwalk so we got to explore and return when we were tired and ready to sleep! The staff was very friendly and the room was great. Score 3 out of 5 My review of Riverwalk Plaza Hotel Cathy, Houston, TX, 2006-10-22 The Market and the Riverwalk were both within walking distance of this hotel. Very nice. The hotel was nice, but the rooms do need some painting and care. The bathroom in our room was in need of reconditioning. Overall we did like it and we would probably stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly and helpful employees Jan, Dayton, OH, 2006-10-14 Take the shortcut down Vallita Street through Vallita Village to Riverwalk. It is a nice walk and oftentimes will have entertainment in the outdoor theater.Location was perfect. Only a couple blocks to the LaVallita area that I was not aware of. Walk to Riverwalk and convention center was short and SAFE! Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-08-27 The San Antonio Riverwalk was withina half a block from the hotel which made it perfect to return to rest and then head out again.Score 5 out of 5 Centrally located Anonymous, Las Vegas, NV, 2006-06-04 If you're not familiar with the area, go to Map Quest and get directions, as the street is easy to miss. The River walk entrance is right across the street, wear comfortable walking shoes as you will want to see all the sights. The hotel was clean and the staff extremely friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. It had an iron, blow dryer, coffee pot, refridgerator, and a large television. The pool was nice. Not fancy, but clean and very refreshing. Score 4 out of 5 Review Steven, 2006-05-09 Alamo is fantastic worth seeingScore 1 out of 5 Review Douglas, Dallas, TX, 2006-05-08 1. This hotel is not on the riverwalk, but several blocks away. 2. On the way to the room we walked through puddles of water (it was raining outside). 3. The furniture was worn with scratches and nicks all over the dresser, nightstand, and table. 4. The bedspreads were dirty, really dirty, and the beds were close to the ground, had no bounce or cushion feeling. 5. The room was dark with the lights all turned on. 6. It is in the center of other buildings, only six stories high, very old, and the check in area is smaller than the rooms. We held onto our bags and called another hotel in the area. When we tried to checkout, we were informed that we would be charged for one night stay even though we were there less than 10 minutes. Score 1 out of 5 Review Pedro, Mexico City, 2006-05-07 I was very dissapointed. I would never book a night at this hotel. |
