Overall, the staff was great and very helpful. The hotel is near a trolly stop, which can take you around the Alamo area.

TWO BLOCKS AWAY IS A GREAT MARKET WITH RESTAURANTS AND HISTORIC AREA IS 15 MINUTE WALK.

THE MOTEL 6 CHECK IN CLERK WAS VERY HELPFUL. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS A COLLEGE ISSUED CHECK TO PAY FOR MY LODGING, BUT THE MOTEL DOES NOT ACCEPT CHECKS. SO I HAD TO USE CREDIT CARD AND WILL HAVE COLLEGE REIMBURSE. BUT OTHERWISE THE MOTEL ROOM WAS CLEAN, SPACIOUS, AND VERY WELL PRICED. COFFEE WAS DELICIOUS, POOL WAS VERY NICE, AND THE WORKERS WERE POLITE AND FRIENDLY. I DEFINITELY WILL STAY THERE IF I RETURN TO SAN ANTONIO.

Make sure to go to the Mexican Market nearby. Great shopping & several good restaurants.

Good Value for the Money Spent

The Hotel 6 at the Riverwalk was the best value I found in the area. Although it is not new, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It is located at about a 10 minute walk from the Riverwalk in a nice part of town. The rate was very reasonable - especially compared with nearby hotels. There is a McDonald's next door and only a few minutes walk from a nice park and shops.

On arrival I noticed the neihborhood was a lot seedier and farther from the river walk then the add made it sound. There where people partying outside the room next to mine all one afternoon and thru that night. They were drinking, arguing and, laughing really loud. I know the manager could hear them, but they never did anything to try to quiet them down. There was no refrigerator or microwave, and the ice machine hardly worked, when I tried to get ice from it.

Near attractions, but not on Riverwalk.

The location and service was terrible. I actually only stayed the first night and found another hotel.

Motel convenient to interstate 35 and also within walking distance to El Mercado. Convenient public transportation close by to Riverwalk hot spots.

The Motel was within close driving, and extended walking, distance from downtown and the Riverwalk areas. There was no dining facility within the Motel but there was a McDonald's in the same area, which was very convenient for fast-food dining. Initially getting to the Motel was by a round-about way, but this had something to do with nearby construction. Once one was at the Motel, then it was easy to maneuver. In today's hectic schedules, it would be very nice if the Motel would upgrade to have ports and lines available for the business person. There was no way for a person to go online to check email, etc.
