Located in the heart of downtown, the NEW La Quinta San Antonio Convention Center is in the middle of all that San Antonio has to offer: Picturesque River Walk and historic Alamo, Market Square, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio Zoo and Botanical Gardens. You will find abundant eateries nearby, and plenty of shopping at Rivercenter and North Star Mall, and the San Marcos Outlet stores.

It is beautiful as well as has great resteraunts and shopping. The Alamo is aslo right behind the mall.We chose the La Quinta Convention Center hotel because they offered both high speed internet and breakfast in the price of your stay. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast that included fresh waffles you make yourself, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc. We feel like we saved alot of money on our trip because of this. It was very close to the Convention Center, the mall and the riverwalk. We didn't have to rent a car or take any special shuttles. The staff and services were great too. The Convention Center is just a short walk away (about 2 blocks).The San Antonio Convention Center La Quinta was a great place to stay. It was within walking distance to the Riverwalk, Alamo, and other attractions. The free hot breakfast was excellent. The atmosphere was very pleasant and everything seemed very clean. It was also very convenient to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room for storing and re-heating restaurant leftovers. Highly recommend!!! Denny's is right next door and there are a lot of other good food choice in the mall - plus the movie theatres and the IMAX are walking distance. Good value - with a parking lot for your car as well.
