Good restaurants one to two miles east off the freeway.This hotel is dirty and in desperate need of remodeling. The person at the front desk had a rude attitude. I will never reserve a room at this hotel or any Best Western after this experience. I was staying here on a business trip. Hotel claimed to have high-speed Internet access. I upgraded to an "executive" room and checked in. When I got to my room I could not get Internet access. The explanation from the ISP help desk was that my room was too far away from the router. The front desk person was very indifferent but agreed to switch me to another room closer to the router. I checked the new room before moving and still could not get Internet access. In addition the alternate room was in need of repair having major nicks on the walls and furniture. It seemed dingy. I located another newer, cleaner hotel offering Internet access about a mile away for the same price. I had wasted a half-day of business production time. To top it all off upon checking out the Best Western they attempted to charge me for one day. Score 4 out of 5 Night owl JOSE, 2005-08-07 The mall and some good restaurants are less than 1/2 a mile away plus you have some simple restaurants (McD's, Ihop, Village inn)even closer.Best Western Airport in was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a table and two chairs. The large TV was also a plus. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter. The location was very good being located smack in the middle of El Paso. The only problems with the room were it was suppose to be smoke free but it smelled like smoke and the air conditioning unit was missing a lever so adjusting it was extremely difficult. We were only spending the night so it really wasn't worth complaining about. I would definitely stay there again--the price was good and the location was great. |
