The Bayfront Plaza Hotel is ideally located in the heart of the downtown business district. Only one block from the sparkling Corpus Christi Bay and Marina and all area attractions, restaurants, clubs, and shops. A limited number of rooms have a Bay view or Harbor view and all of the spacious, comfortable guest rooms have in-room coffee makers, iron, iron boards, and blow dryers. The hotel also features a full service restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and room service each day.

Be safer and just walk!! The beach is also a couple streets ahead of you in the opposite direction!!We checked in, and first thing we notice is that half the rooms have carpet, half don't....we got one that (unfortunately) did NOT. We get into the room, we're there for a couple minutes and all of the sudden we smell SEWAGE!! The toilet/bathroom smelled like it was LEAKING SEWAGE!! I called down to the front desk and they said they'd send someone up with two new keys to a different room. Thankfully we hadn't unpacked yet! We're standing outside our room waiting for about 15 minutes when I finally go down there and get the keys (that were just sitting there WAITING to be taken up to us!) The next room was okay. Thankfully it had carpet, and did NOT stink like someone doesn't know how to flush a toilet. Most of the time you have to take the STAIRS b/c the elevators hardly work and when you finally get them to come to your floor, they close way too quickly (so you can't get all your stuff inside them!) Walking up and down 6 flights of stairs gets to be a bit of a pain! The parking garage is absolutely TERRIBLE! The lines don't match up with the bumpers up front... so people end up using two spaces b/c they're lining up with the bumpers instead of the lines... and the bumpers and in between the lines. So we had to park across the street at a restaurant instead of at the actual hotel. I will never stay at this hotel ever again, I was very disappointed!! Another thing that really ticked me off is that the $20 bar tab to Cassidy's Irish Pub that came with the deal?? They didn't give it to us until the night before we left!! And we had to check out at 12:00 noon the next day, so who's going to go drinking before NOON?! So that was a waste! They kept putting it off..it's in the manager's office they're here, but they're not printed out...come back later oh we JUST put them away, come back tomorrow. When we FINALLY got the bar tab, we were on our way out to the Casino Boat that wasn't getting back till about 1 AM, so we weren't home till after the bar closed!! Really made me angry. Again, I will NEVER stay there again.. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Bayfront Plaza Hotel Anonymous, 2007-03-11 It has a nice view of the shoreline and has a couple of resturants nearby.The hotel messed up with my reservations, as well as reservations for a few other guests. The Texas Aquarium and the Lexington are at a short distance drive.The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is great: walking distance from the beach and restaurants. The room itself was clean, but it was disappointing to see the vents, which some were at eye level, very dusty. It seems it's time for the hotel to purchase new towels and the ammenities the hotel offers were not replenished during our stay. Score 5 out of 5 A ALL AROUND GREAT STAY. Score 4 out of 5 nice price georgette, 2007-02-13 take a camera there are nice places to visit near by.the bayfront plaza hotel was okay for the price if your looking for something just to sleep in this is the place cuz it affordable and neat. the food was not to good so eat out. |
