Our location gives you easy access to all popular attractions: Town Lake, Sixth Street, Erwin Center, Lady Bird Johnson National Wildflower Center, Zilker Park, the Texas State Capitol, Governor's Mansion and The Arboretum Mall. You are not far from area golf courses and the Austin Convention Center.
Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Convenient La Quinta Michael, San Antonio, TX if you take exit 230, northbound off of IH35, do not take the turnaround, go all the way to the intersection, and take two left turns.The La Quinta at Ben White and IH35 in Austin was mediocre. The staff and check in were nice. However, the room was cramped, especially the bathroom area. The was very little room to move in the toilet/shower arera. The sink area had almost no space to place toiletries for more than 1 person. My biggest complaint however, was the nose at night. It seems that some people, either hotel guests or at the nearby IHOP, were loud throughout most of the night, which made sleeping difficult. The location was very convenient and the continetal breakfast was adequate. Score 5 out of 5 Very nice accommodations Janice, 2007-02-18 The La Quinta in Austin on I 35 was very comfortable. It was near 2 of my favorite restaurants. The room was quite large and had a large bathroom. The motel was near the church where I was going to speak and that made it easy to get there in only a few minutes. Even though my stay was brief, it was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Had to call the front desk clerk to come let us in...she wasn't too happy about that. Then, at 12:20 am that night a family of 4 started trying to get into our room. There had been some mix up at the front desk. When I called the front desk to complain, the person wasn't very helpful. Otherwise the room was clean and spacious. Its good if its just for sleeping. For example, the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, and the water temperature for the shower was very difficult to regulate. On the plus side, the front desk people were very helpful. There was not alot of places to eat close by with the exception of the IHOP next door. The area around the hotel was average considering it is right off the freeway. The distance to 6th street and commerce was very acceptable though.As was the price. |
