There was no shuttle service and the location was hard to find. This place is long overdue for a face lift if it wants to do serious business. I repeatedly ask if the service was free espically after I was told I needed to call the service and give them my pick up information and again I was told yes. When I arrived at DFW I was indeed picked up. I thought it strange it was a limo. Was told it was a shuttle. When I got to the Hotel I tipped the driver checked in went to my room. The phone rang it was the desk saying I needed to pay the Limo driver. When I told her of my conversation she got extremely rude and said I needed to come out to the lobby NOW and pay the driver 35.00. I will not stay at the Hotel again or recommend it to anyone I know. My husband and I go to Arlington a lot during the year for ball games but will NOT be staying at the Howard Johnson. Close to the business we had to attend to, amusement park although it was close, and plenty of restaurants near by. Staff was friendly and helpful. We have no complaints and look forward to our next stay there. Front office and carpeting could use a facelift but other then that everything was great. Score 5 out of 5 Value for the Money James, Houston, TX, 2006-02-11 You can get to the Convention Center, Ball Park, 6 Flags and even a water park in a short drive or long walk depending on your preference!Nice people, clean room, good breakfast, inexpensive - especially for the area. Older property but holds up - especially for the cost! I will return!! |
