Works for a One Night Stay

If you like western wear, there is a great store about 2 miles or less down the highway. Biggest selection of cowboy boots in one store that I have ever seen.

The Travelodge Amarillo is perfect for travelers passing through. The location of this facility is perfect from a highway access, but not in the most desirable part of town. The room was comfortable and clean. The air conditioner was in working order (thank goodness since it was over 100 outside) but the vent needed a GOOD cleaning. The staff were bussinesslike and not overly friendly. There was no fitness center on premises, but use of a Gold's Gym across the way was an option, though it was very crowded the evening we arrived. After 10 hours in the car, a workout would have been nice. The continental breakfast offered a good variety and was presented nicely. The lobby of this small hotel was probably it's nicest feature. For a one night stay, and being pet friendly, it worked for us.

Great Value

The Travel Lodge was an excellent value. It was located close to a major highway and easy to get to. The room was very clean and the separate vanity area was a plus. The parking lot was large enough to accomidate the truck and trailer.
