As we drove up to it, the fear of getting jumped instilled in me. The staff was friendly but the room was very dirty. The room was large but all of the furniture was very old and nonfunctional. the rug was a shag that looked like if you were a forensic officer you would be able to find blood stains. there was mold in the shower walls-i felt like i needed to shower again!! My husband and I were very disappointed and won't go back!

The rooms at the Royal Inn in Abilene, TX are very large. There was ample area for two beds as well as a nice size table with four chairs. The table area had a curtain to seperate it from the beds. Our laughter stemmed from the first room we were given. We had to return to the office because our first key didn't work but the gentleman came and helped us and was very friendly. After settling in we attempted to leave only to find out we couldn't. The door would not open. (We looked and realized there was no way to get out a window either) We called the front desk and the gentleman returned. He couldn't get us out. He called a maintainance worker who wasn't able to release us either. The third man ended up having to kick in our door. It was an adventure. The rooms are in need of updating but they do present what they have to its best.
