Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Not good for a good night's rest guadalupe, 2007-03-11 The Sun Suites of CC was not a good place for a good night's sleep. As soon as I walked in the room, I heard the drip of the kitchen faucet. Upon trying to shut the faucet off, I realized it would not shut off. Then I noticed hair in the sink. Then the tub would not drain completely while I was showering. I thought for the price, this is standard. At 11:30 p.m. I went to try to sleep. I kept hearing the people upstairs walking back and forth or around the room. Then the room beside me, had a crowd of men talking and laughing loud. Not being rowdy but real loud. I called the front desk three times. I told them I heard all this right above my head as my bed shared the wall of the room. The clerk told me she had called the room twice already. It was 5:00 a.m. when I heard them disband and two cars drive off. At 6:00 a.m. I heard the hotel staff right outside my window. Their conversation was partly wondering if the men had disbanded. I tried to sleep but could not because at 7:00 a.m. the band of loud talkers and gigglers were back in the room. I checked out at 9:30 a.m. I know I will not get a room there again. The rooms were somewhat small, no shampoo, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, bathrooms were moldy, floors were soft(3rd floor).I thought we might go through the floor. I would not recommend staying there to anyone. Score 1 out of 5 Horrible Experience Jeremy, Houston, TX, 2006-07-23 The first hotel room we were given was not cleaned . The lady at the front desk then took us through 3 other rooms until we found one that was suitable. The manager was very apologetic and I felt confident he would do everything in his power to rectify the problem. However, due to the fact that there were insects in our room we departed a day early and stayed at another facility in the area. But other than that every thing else was fin Score 5 out of 5 Perfect home base Carol, Kansas City, MO, 2006-06-24 You can walk to a great mexican/seafood restaurant called La Playa. It's a happy, enjoyable place where families can go, and the food is wonderful. The people were very nice and efficient. I liked being able to prepare simple meals and store food in my room. Corpus Christi is beautiful, although hot and windy. It is great to have a cool, comfortable place to go back to during the day after a visit to the beach or the bayfront, before setting out again in the evening. The location is very convenient to the Padre Island expressway, which takes you anywhere in town, but the hotel is back far enough so that there is not traffic noise. I enjoyed cable tv in Spanish, as well. |
