We asked for and were given the only ground floor room remaining, having been told that there was a problem with the tap in the bathroom. The TV set remote did not work. In spite of many attempts by the operator to correct the problem, which apparently was in the TV set, nothing could be done. The set should have been replaced. It was not. The breakfast was very very basic. Score 4 out of 5 Even If You Can Find It, Stay Elsewhere Anonymous, San Antonio, TX Walmart and a gas station. Good luck.This hotel was on I-20 but not even the hotel staff could tell us which I-20--IH-20 or Business I-20. They could not give directions worth a flip...and it turns out we were only 2 blocks from them! The hotel was in the middle of fields next to a Walmart and not much else unless you like empty lots. Only fastfood joints were in the vicinity. There were rips in the bedding. The light on the coffee maker wouldn't turn on so we didn't know if it was working. I can't believe I paid what I paid to stay here. I've stayed in better places in 3rd world countries that cost LESS than this place. The room was adequate for a 1 night stay while traveling, but it certainly wasn't worth the money. It would be less than optimal for a long stay The weekend we stayed was a high volume time as three universities were holding graduation and there was a stste football game going on as well. All of the "better" hotels were booked and this was the only motel close to where we needed to be. Overall, it suited the purpose we needed at the time. It is nearby to a large Walmart and several shopping options and right on the I-20 highway. Very convenient. Good staff, good Continental Breakfast. The room was clean, properly stocked and operation in good order. I had internet access, which is important for my business. A good option for business travelers.
