Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great for Extended Stay John, New Orleans, LA Most any chain resturant or business you could need. This hotel is not in the best part of town, but was only a few blocks away from my business meetings. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms clean and maintained. This hotel was great for what I needed. A place to stay for a week close to work. Score 5 out of 5 A Comfortable Stay Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-02-08 Sharpstown shopping mall is a 5 minutes drive. The Ramada Limited is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, not like other hotels I have stayed in the past which had hard beds and small pillows. I loved the balcony which I went out on every morning to start my day. There was alot of room for my luggage and my clothing. There was also a iron, ironing board, blow dryer, and coffee maker(with packs of coffee) provided in the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Houston. I plan to visit again soon. Score 3 out of 5 In a pinch Monica, Dallas, TX, 2005-10-25 ideal for self emplyed and business travelerI travel to Houston every year for the International Quilt Festival. This year I added an extra day at the last minut and needed a hotel room for one night. Between Katrina and baseball there were very few room options in a moderate prce range. This hotel was OK. The traffic noise woke me up at 5:30. The lobby was dark and gloomy when I arrived at noon and the woman at the desk appeared uninterested and unfriendly. I feared the worst and never even bothered to to unload and look at my room. In fact it made me nervous about my safty When I returned about 8 pm the lobby and parking lot were well lighted and the two men behind the desk helpful and friendly. My room was spotless and the bathroom very clean. The coffee in the room was better than the in-room coffee at the Hilton of the Americas were I shared a room for the next 5 days! It is convenient close to restaurants, shops etc. and with easy access to I 59 Score 3 out of 5 Only room available in Houston Anonymous, 2005-10-25 you are just a few miles from the galleria area, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, etc. many fast food places along the access road.during the world series, this was the only room i could find within 50 miles of houston. not too impressed with the hotel overall. i probably wouldn't stay there on purpose, but i was glad to have a room none the less. they did have plenty of hot water in the bathroom, though. bed was pretty hard, carpet was well worn, plenty of rust in the bathroom. no juice or doughnuts for breakfast (one hour before the continental was supposed to end). it was quiet at night, even though it is feet from the interstate. friendly hotel staff was a plus. Score 4 out of 5 Non Family Friendly Stephen, Washington, DC, 2005-08-12 If you like shopping, check out the Galleria; probably the nicest malls in Houston. If you're in to art, a short drive away is the museums, a wide variety of art for everybody.Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and the view of the city was amazing. You can see everything you want to see from the big patio window inside the rooms. The quality of the hotel, beyond the rooms, was another story. On the down side, no one really cleaned the hallways, and the piece of popcorn I dropped was there for my entire stay. There was a smell too; either there was no circulation in the building or the smoky smell from other floors festered to the 7th floor. On the positive side, the hotel is minutes away from the main attractions, such as the downtown area. Everything is close. So if you have no kids and don't mind the stale smell of this hotel, this might be an OK stay for you. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Ramada Limited/Sharpstown Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-07-06 The air condition was not powerful enough to keep the room cool... Score 2 out of 5 Very Cheap in all aspects Anonymous, New York, NY, 2005-05-30 The hotel should really qualify as a motel.I was very dissapointed with the beds, for example my bed was broken. The service was ok and the AC was not centeralized...There was meldew scent in the rooms and the bathroom wouldn't flush that well. Score 4 out of 5 Economical & practical Jesse, Austin, TX, 2005-05-08 My son and I received a last-minute invitation to Houston to meet out-of-state relatives for a Mother's Day meal. The Ramada Inn offered a neighborhood hotel in close proximity to Houston family members. The hotel was located close to excellent dining establishments, but I do not recall it offering anything but a continemtal breakfast. We had a pleasant stay. |
