Convenient and Pet Friendly

The border town of Progreso was a short drive away (about a 45 minute drive) as was the Glady's Porter Zoo (about 5 minutes drive) and we enjoyed visiting both these places.

The staff was friendly and the room comfortable, however, the temperature in the room was not as comfortable. Entering the hotel, the foyer was very cool and then the temperature dropped somewhat when entering the lobby. Unfortunately, the temperature dropped significantly when entering the room. Thermometers were regulated so that the temperature was unable to be lowered...cooler to sleep out in the hallway. Also, some kind of spray freshener was used on the carpet that seemed to cause discomfort to my pet's eyes (they got very red). Other than those two items (temperature is a big one when your in Brownsville, TX), the hotel was comfortable and convnenient to the places we visited.

Close to the Mexican border and South Padre Island.

The Brownsville motel six was easy to get to, clean, good parking and I was treated well by staff. Good place for the price.

I was pleased with the Hotel. The rooms are small but economical. They do a great job keeping them clean. I would definitely tell someone to stay their if they were traveling that way..
