Typically they have wireless internet, but during this stay, the routers were not working properly and so there was only wireless available close to the lobby. When I notified the staff that I needed wireless internet, they attempted to accomodate me by finding a room closer to the lobby. Unfortunately they were all booked and so it was not feasible, but they definitely tried. The pool was also closed for maintenance during my stay. I stayed in a single room with a queen size bed and would sleep in late and they would come clean my room at 3 or 4 in the afternoon if necessary. There also seems to be a refrigerator in each of the single rooms with queen size beds which really helps to avoid always having to go out to eat and spending large amounts of money. You can just go to Wal-Mart and grab a couple days worth of food. This is my third time staying at this hotel and for the value, I do not think that there is a better deal in town. As far as resturants and things of that sort, there are not many around, but if you do not mind walking about a mile or so you began to get close to the UTEP campus where there is not only beautiful scenery, but there are also a number of fast-food restuarant chains, local eateries, and the local college late-night hang outs that are pretty fun. It was clean and well kept. We didn't use any of the other amenities as we were only there to rest and get back on the road. The location was excellent - right off of the 10. There was a gas station and quick mart nearby which allowed us to gas up and pick up ice for our cooler. The bathroom was clean and had great water pressure and there were no issues with water temperature. Score 3 out of 5 Low Budget Clean Anonymous, 2006-04-30 Just up the road from the hotel are a lot of fast food restarauntsThis hotel was a place to sleep. It was safe and in a good though remote locataion. It is not up to the level of most of the hotels I stay in, but then again it cost a lot less. Score 4 out of 5 Acceptable Anonymous, 2006-03-17 My husband stayed at this hotel and said it was nice. The only thing he didn'tlike was it wasn'tnear any resturants. He said the bed was comfortable and it was peaceful. It was close to downtown. Score 1 out of 5 Review Mallory, 2006-02-05 No review provided by user |
