Smelled Bad

The lobby and front desk personnel were lovely. The room smelled of mold/mildew. There were bugs in the bathtub. If there had been anywhere else to go we would have moved. The breakfast was Sunny D and packaged sugar buns.

The Hotel That Didn't Care Anymore

The only thing close to the hotel were 2 or 3 fast food dining places and the hotel accessability was not very easy. To get out and to get in, a turnaround was involved.

Arrived about 11:00pm and the room was really nothing special . My daughter had to clean up the bathroom because there were uring spots and a pubic hair on the commode and the bath tub had to be cleaned out. It took 3 of our towels just to clean up the bathroom. Then, they had the tv set up in the sitting room area where the only bed was a pull-down couch. This was okay for my daughter who doesn't sleep with the tv on, so she got the bedroom with the very comfortable king size bed and I took the living room with the pull-down that had about a 2 inch mattress because I am used to sleeping with the tv set on. We were told that the plug for the tv did not work in the bedroom.Then we found out that the telephone in the room did not work and he was supposed to bring us another cord for it in a few minutes. It still did not work when we checked out and we never saw him come back to the room with anything. Also, there wasn'tany kind of a terrace as our door opened into the parking lot. Then the kicker of the story was when we were informed that the heat to the jets in the jacuzzi were not working and they didn't have another one to move us to because it was already taken. There were no more than 4 cars parked around the entire hotel while we were there. There were no coffee pots in the rooms which I believe there were supposed to be. We begged hard enough because we are both avid coffee drinkers and finally got a coffee pot. The staff that was working I believe really didn't care about any of the problems and adapted a whole I don't care attitude. I will never stay in another Americas Best Value Inn anywhere I travel to and I will seriously try to prevent anyone I know from staying in one, either. I know I sound like a big compainer, but I'm really not. 4 cars parked around the entire hotel while we stayed there, but oh-well.

Very Friendly

We actually stayed there because it was a short drive to a deep sea fishing that we were going to.

Had a very pleasant experience with the staff, the room was very clean and comfortable. There were no problems what so ever. Definatley would recommend to any one.
