The Memphis Plaza was definitely the best deal for the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful. It was a nice extra to find a lovely bar on the premises, especially one with drink specials on Friday nights. The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located next to a Cracker Barrel and only a few blocks from a Perkins restaurant and a McDonalds. The indoor pool is great. WIFI is only available in the business center, but it's a lovely open area. I wish a continental breakfast had been included and that the pay per view movies had been accessible. Other than those two things, I have no "druthers" about my three-night stay. I will certainly stay there again, and I would not hesitate to reccommend the Plaza to my friends.

Excellent Service but needs help with cleaning

Family restaurant next door with excellent reputation (nationally) and service!

The customer service here is OUTSTANDING! Everyone is friendly and accomodating. They do not take complaints personally but instead try to find an efficient resolution, which is rare these days! The only downfall is the ability to clean. On returning, to my room, there was evidence that the bathtub had not been clean (hair still there from washing it that morning) and one of the beds was not thoroughly made up. (had a runny nose the night before and the tissue was left in its place with the blanket placed over it). I did mention this on my check-out as something they might want to work on, and THEY WERE RECEPTIVE TO MY SUGGESTIONS. Have to give them credit for that!

The Memphis Plaza is conviently located off the interstate with plenty of Family and fast food restaurants located near by.The Hotel itself is clean with a friendly staff.The only draw back is that in room wireless service is not available.Laptop access is only accesible in designated public areas.

No sleep

The direction were really off we had a hard time finding it and when trying to call the line was always buzz. Once at the hotel I had to stand in line at 12:30 at night to get our rooms. The room was like being right out on the side of the road with the car. The noise was so loud I could not sleep. Ask for a wake-up call and did not get it. It was a good thing that one of the clock work in the room. I ask about the wake-up call and they inform me that I should have used a clock on the wall or something else. That they do not have time to give wake-up call. Then, there was no place to eat there, like it should a bar and restaurant. But there was none. We had to go down the road to eat. I did not get any rest and for the price if could have been alot quiter. I will not use this hotel again.

Cracker Barrel is right next door! We had lunch and dinner there. The staff was friendly and the food was great! Also there is a Dollar General just down the road for nessecites.

The Memphis Plaza was not the best nor the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The best parts of Memphis Plaza: well lit parking, indoor swimming pool/hot tub and the hotel was located off the highway where it was convient to major attractions. The worsts of the Memphis Plaza: front desk was terrible. check- in and out was torture. Employee was confused and put it in wrong room type. After 2 phone calls and 30 minutes later we were finally in the correct room. Our check out was as horrible. I finally just sat down and told her to call me when finished. There was a pubic hair on our lotion in the bathroom. The chair in our room upholstery was coming undone, as well as several areas in the hotel carpeting. Soda machines were all sold out. There is a 2.50 fee for ammenaties,even if you dont use them, we didn't. I would say if you were taking a short trip and needed to stay on a budget this would be an ok hotel for you. If you are celebrating a special occasion not so much.

We had a problem getting the door to lock after leaving but within minutes the manager was assisting in getting the battery changed and our keys re-coded. The lounge looked inviting but was closed for remodeling - we didn't eat there for breakfast (Cracker Barrell is next door) but some patrons looks pleased for that morning meal. Establishment is lokated off the beaten path which made for a much safer and quieter stay...but signs abled us to locate the place easily. Hotel appears older but in great shape. Looks like a great place for business mettings for large crowds. Interior, heated pool made for a nice wind-down area for the kids & adults alike. Only downfall was that there was not any high speed internet access in the room - but you could use the lobby computer if necessary. Overall - we were well satisfied

SCARY AND YUCKY!! AVOID!!

This hotel should be condemned, as it is old, musty smelling and uncomfortable. The location seemed to be relatively unsafe, especially when considering that within 100 yards of the place we saw a bag lady pushing a shopping cart trying to mooch from passersby, and a bum who repeatedly tried come in and hang out in the lobby to use the free business high speed internet, which, by the way, was not available in the rooms and could only be accessed on their one computer in the lobby. Besides the obvious lack of amenities and cleanliness, and the bad neighborhood, they require that you give them your driver's license and credit card which they make a photocopy of for their records. They refused to destroy the photocopy upon checkout, but I did convince them to let me attempt to scratch out the personal details on the photocopy. This really did not allay my fears of having my identity stolen though, as anyone knows that no amount of scratching over can completely prevent a photocopy (on hard cardboard, mind you) from being read, as well as the fact that some commercial copiers also keep an electronic copy of all copies made. I have cancelled my credit card, but obviously there is no way to cancel my driver's license.

A mim Golf,Batten Cage,Game Room, Lazer Tag,Kids LOVED THAT

The staff was very friendly my kids liked them. Kids loved the indoor pool they were able to get on the internet to talk to their friends. I think they need a few more tv stations. But over all we enjoyed our stay.

Accessible Location

Lots of chain restaurants in area for both breakfast and lunch. Also near interstate so easy to get to other attractions.

The hotel is in state of renovation - the lobby, pool area & bar/grill are very pleasant. However, our room was in disrepair - dresser was falling apart, bed was torn, and paint was peeling off bathtub. I would recommend that you see your room before checking in. The rates were good & staff was pleasant.
