The Budget Inns of America Knoxville is located in the Cedar Bluff area just 10 miles from the University of Tennessee and within easy access of downtown and McGee Tyson Airport. This tourist class hotel offers many of the amenities you'd find at larger properties, and many you won't, including free hot breakfast for guests of the hotel. Area attractions such as Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame are just a few of the wonderful places guests are able to access from the hotel.

Bed lumpy and uncomfortable. Strong smell of mildew, dusty radiator. Air smelled foul with exception of very strong chlorine smell coming from pool area. Honestly I would not let my dog stay at this place. It was so bad that we left. Score 1 out of 5 Dissatisfied with Hotel Joseph, 2005-06-26 Budget Inns of America was old and outdated. The rooms were dirty. We stayed there from Wednesday to Sunday and the bed only got made half of the time; the room got vacuumed only once; the towels were stained and you had to ask for more since they only gave us one face cloth and no hand towels; and the mirror was never wiped down, it had fingerprints all over it. The complete breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, danish, and one cup of either coffee or juice. The pool area probably was nice long ago, but like everything else it was outdated and in need of painting, and the lawn furniture was dirty and rusty. They didn't have our reservations when we checked in, and locked us out of our room, so we had to get our card reswiped. We had had told our friends who were joining us to book at this hotel, and when they arrived on Thursday, they too were very disappointed in the hotel, and asked us why we picked such a dive. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Score 1 out of 5 Definitely not worth it! Anonymous, Nashville, TN, 2005-06-05 Budget Inns of America Knoxville was the most awful inn I've ever had the displeasure of staying. The facade, which deceived me into believing this was a nice place, looked nice enough. However, as my husband and I walked around the property to our rooms, we were appalled at the condition of the place. There were old pieces furniture and mattresses laying around. The paint was peeling off the walls. A celing leak dropped water onto our heads as we made our way to our room. The stairways needed attention. It was terrible. This place was so unkempt. When we finally made it to our room, we were totally disgusted! This room was a blast to the past with old dusty furniture, carpet that looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed in years, and a bathroom that was scary. My husband and I quickly decided that we had been bamboozled by the "three-star" recommendation and went and found someplace else to stay for the weekend. I would not recommend this inn to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Score 2 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-06-05 No review provided by user Score 1 out of 5 You get what you pay for! Anonymous, Green Bay, WI, 2005-05-29 Caution! When you find a deal on a hotel, remember what your mother use to say, "You get what you pay for." Staying at the Budget Inn of Knoxville might once have been great - say, 50 years ago. The hotel is very run down, and it great need to rennovation. I would definately not recommend this motel/hotel to anyone wanting to relax in a clean, fresh-smelling room. The location was good. Close enough to the University of Knoxville and some other areas we would be traveling to while in the city. The price listed should be about $40.00 less. The sheets were so thin, I felt like I was sleeping directly on the mattress. There were holes in the blanket. The furnishings were very cheap. The hotel has potential. I was in the city to deal with a somewhat stressful situation and being in that hotel added to my stress. The silver lining in this experience was the assistance I received from your representative when I called. |
