Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 My review of North Charleston Inn Anonymous The room was a good size and basically clean. The toilet was running off and on, but it was late and I went to bed without notifying the front desk. I got up to use the bathroom at about 2 a.m. and when I flushed the toilet it overflowed. I called the front desk at that point but there wasn't anyone available to do anything about it. They moved me to another room in the middle of the night. The shower could not be turned off completely so it dripped constantly. I would not recommend it or stay there again Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous It was hard to find because it was right at the end of an exit ramp, not the road. It's before Mc Donalds.Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous Just around the corner from the new Tanger outlets.Score 5 out of 5 Great staff and location Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2007-03-10 There's a Tanger outlet a few minutes away by car and a movie theatre. The North Charleston Inn is located right off the exit, very easy to find and also close to a big shopping Center. The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us a information sheet with directions to local attractions and restaurants. A woman at the desk even made a restaurant suggestion and reservation for us and looked up directions. The room was clean, not too fancy. The only drawback were some loud guests. Score 4 out of 5 Clean, and convenient A, Washington, DC, 2007-03-04 It was a simple drive to the historic district of old Charleston, less than 10 minutes. Not a bad place to stay if you want to visit Charleston, but can't afford the pricier places downtown.Convenient to the interstate, yet a short drive down to the historic district. The room was clean, if a little aged. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. Room was comfortable, and the pool looked inviting, even though we did not use it. Nice location, very close to the interstate, super convenient. I would stay here again, although I think they should upgrade their bath fixtures before too much longer. Score 3 out of 5 not what i thought Stephanie, Savannah, GA, 2007-02-25 Great location for the North Charleston Coliseum. My husband and I were trying to rest on Saturday afternoon and the cleaning people were screaming back and forth to each other. Also, there was a breakfast buffett that had glasses that were so small my 7 year old drinks more than that. It was ridiculous how many times we had to get up to refill. Score 1 out of 5 a bit scary Anonymous, 2007-02-17 I am sorry to report this information but I do not want anyone else to experience what we did. The lobby and dining area of this hotel was the only nice thing about it. The rooms had the doors to the outside. The upkeep of the hotel was nil. Before we actually got settled into our room, the police was there for a dispute in the bar/night club. I did not feel safe with my children at this hotel. Had it not been paid for in advance, we would have NEVER stayed. Score 4 out of 5 Great location, quite clean, but i had problem with the shower Anonymous, Columbus, OH, 2007-02-12 Easy access to downtown and River Rd in North Charleston (the latter has a cluster of shopping malls where the locals frequent).Great locations, just off the highway ramp, I got around in the Charleston area very conveniently using the hotel as a springboard. The frontdesk staff as well as the cleaning lady are super friendly and made me feel right at home from the first night. Wireless Internet is also plus. The only problem was that the room I had for the first night had a shower problem but I had to live with it because the hotel was fully booked. The problem was handled swiftly and attentively on the second day. Overall, great value for the bucks you pay. A good stay definitely for anyone travelling with their eyes on the purse string. Score 1 out of 5 My review of North Charleston Inn Anonymous, 2007-02-10 Great location!Hi if you are going to North Charleston DO NOT STAY AT THE NORTH CHARLESTON INN! This was the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life this hotel checked me out 4 days early, the room had bugs, and the front desk help was terribly rude! On top of everything I has to beg to get towels, and washclothes, as well as toliet tissue, cups, and kleenx's! Overall this was a terrible choice! Maybe it will be of some help to others! Score 4 out of 5 Not a bad deal Anonymous, 2006-12-11 SportzStayed for overnight business. Breakfast buffet was old & cold. Room was okay, reasonably clean. Bathroom floor tiles were laid in place with no cement. Overall, worth what I paid. |
