Anonymous, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2007-03-11 The attractions on Ocean Blvd. is just a 10 minute walk, with an amusement park,shops and the center of it all at the beach.The M Grand at Myrtle Beach was an excellent choice. Being Located on the southern end of the strand, the area is not as busy and alot more desreable but still within walking distance of the action. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, amenities were excellent and with a bar for happy hour and resturant for breakfast, spa, pool and ocean access, makes it perfect for anyone from the buisness traveler to the family vacation. Close to the airport and quick access to restaurants on kings highway gives this hotel an added plus to the other locations just up the street that stay backed up with traffic. If you have been to Myrtle Beach in the summer you know what I mean. They also offered us Free breakfast the next morning since they were unable to offer us an Oceanfront room; we had ocean view instead. I like the fact that the bathroom had a vanity area and there was plenty of room for our toiletries on the vanity. The closet was spacious. Even with 2 double beds, there was enough room for the desk and chair, without making the room too crowded. It's ocean front - right on the beach. The outdoor pool was great, but the indoor pool was not. It was too hot one morning and we weren't allowed to enter it until around noon. This was a bummer since it was overcast and cool that morning. Even later in the day, the indoor pool was too hot to swim in. There was plenty of parking in the parking garage; however, guests must take the elevator or stairs down to the lobby of the hotel and then enter a different elevator in order to go up to the rooms. Even with those two minor annoyances, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Score 5 out of 5 Weekend Getaway Ted, 2006-08-21 There are many putt putt golfing areas as well as bowling, amusements park and shopping close by.The M Grande Resort was ideal for a good morning view of the ocean sun rise as the beach area populated for the day. The room was adequate, good parking and dining. The only drawback to my room were the firmness of the mattress of which I perfer a softer bed mattress. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would visit again. The view from the balcony was unbelievable. It's right on the beach so that was extremely great since the beach in SC is wonderful. The double-bed room wasn't bad and very comfy. The only thing that wasn't good was the hotel's restaurant operating hours and the small pool. If you're planning a short stay, where most of your time you'll be in the beach, this place is great!!
