Elevator problems

We were unhappy that the elevators were having problems when we checked in. Other customers told us that this was a repeated problem. Hard to deal with this, when you're on the 10th floor...

Nice Place, Needs Updating

The best part of Ocean Park is it is on the beach. Staff were friendly, helpful, competent. Although clean, my room needed attention. Normal wear and tear must be tended. For the money, I got the beach. I won't stay there again. Other places are similarly priced, but maintained.

Horrible Experience

Unpleasant arrival

There are two amusement parks and many great attractions within 2 miles of the hotel.

The view from the room and the pools were the best part of the hotel. I found the hotel rooms and corridors to be somewaht run down. Ceiling tiles where falling down and paint chipped off of doors. When I arrived the toilet was stopped up and the beds were damp. One elevator had buttons broken out and even broke down after our 2nd day at the hotel. We were forced to walk up the stairs to our room and the hallway was hot and smelly. Overall outside of the view, I thought I was in a project.

Ok Hotel

The hotel was in the southern part of Myrtle Beach. The location was ok, but the hotel itself was not worth the money I paid. For the first night we paid for an ocean front room, and due to the public sunning balcony in front of our balcony we could barely see the ocean. I would not go to this hotel again.

Excellent stores for beach accessories and soveniers. Short walk

I was very satisfied with all of the staff with exception to the evening shift maintenance person. He was kinda smart with guest and other staff members. When I complained that the outdoor spa was to hot to sit in, he got kinda testy. However the rest of the staff and accomodations were excellent. The rooms are nice and were kept clean. It appears to be an older hotel but was nice to stay in.

Great hotel for the money

Most dining is within walking distance.

We checked in with no problems and seen our room which was very nice and clean, i was glad i chose ocean park resort. Great view right on the ocean. The only thing i did not like were the elevators, which were very hot and slow but that notthing to give a bad review over. I will return again next year.

They take customer service to the max!

There is any type of dining available within a short walking or driving distance.

This motel is extremely customer friendly. We were allowed to check in early, simply because the room was available. We have stayed in a lot of motels and this has never happened before. Courtesy was shown by all staff members. Cleanliness was there in all areas. I would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to my friends.This motel knows how it should be done.

I figured out while I was at Myrtle beach that myrtle beach is a huge strip... So, the hotel is definately walking distance from restaurants, shopping...etc.

Well I love the fact that Ocean Park Resort allowed us to have a ocean front room in which I was able to sit in the balcony at night and enjoy the scene. The hotel had an apartment homey feel to it since the room had a fridge, oven, and a wonderful size balcony. Unfortunately, the only downfall to the hotel is that the customer's had to wait untill their room came available because the rooms were not clean after the previous customer. So people were not too happy haveing to wait 1-2hrs for a room they paid after the check in time. But for me and my boyfriend... we enjoyed the hotel (beach, pool, jacuzzi) until our room was ready. Thank you Ocean Park Resort for a great time.

Really nice hotel

My stay at Ocean Park Resort was a very relaxing and comfortable experience, great location and price.
