Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Large Rooms, plenty of space Suzanne, Charleston, SC, 2007-02-11 The hotel was beautiful. However, there was major construction and it was difficult moving about from our vehicle to the room. The construction workers started very early in the morning, which wasn't very good. Score 4 out of 5 Nice weekend get-a-way Roy, Charlotte, NC, 2006-09-17 A short drive away is a mall with plenty of shops for the ladies and Bass Pro Shop is one of the Anchor stores. We enjoyed the great buffet at the Farmers Daughter, fair prices and great food. And a few blocks south is Mammy's Kitchen for fanastic breakfast. The Caribbean Resort & Villas, Myrtle Beach, SC, had a great view of the ocean. The suite was spacious, however the sofa and chair in the den were uncomfortable. The bath and bed room were nice and the king size bed very comfortable. Although there was some construction taking place it did not interfere with our stay. Parking was in a deck across the street and would have been a bit scary for a lone female. The staff were very pleasant. The location is excellent. Score 1 out of 5 Construction Nightmare Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-08-27 You can take a long walk or short car ride to the Myrtle Beach Pavillion and restaurants.Caribbean Resorts and Villas will probably be nice once their renovations are complete. They should have closed this hotel down while renovating, I have never seen anything like this in my life. There is a giant crane hovering over their new hotel which was right next to and at times spinning above where our room was. The first night we arrived the construction company worked throughout the night. Needless to say we had a terrible night! Every morning we woke to the construction crew as well. When you were in th e pool the crane was spinning above their wooden scaffolded jacuzzi, and I had my eye on the crane the whole time, because I couldn't keep my ten year old away from the pool for the whole stay. There was construction debree and construction people everywhere. It has restaurants, shoppings, movies, miniture golf. It has a beautiful aquarium if you have kids its a great place to take them. The people are very nice and helpful and the area is so beautifulMy fiance and I stayed at the Caribbean Resort and Villas. It was everything we hoped it would be the room was great. We had two beds, a full size kitchen, a lovely living room, and a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony. We couldn't have asked for anything better for our first official vaction together. The staff was extremely nice. The area was great. The only thing I do not recommend is vactioning in Myrtle beach during bike week. It is way to loud and way to many people. However the hotel had no control over that but they did accomodate us to the best of their ability. We would definitley reccommend this hotel to others. Score 4 out of 5 Very Nice Ocean Front Property Anonymous, 2006-05-13 Very nice restaraunt only a few seconds away. The room was very spacious but needed to be a little bit cleaner. Overall I was satisfied with what I got for the money. You could not ask for a better location. I give it a B overall. Score 5 out of 5 Great Myrtle Beach Hotel Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2005-07-11 I just returned from a trip to Caribbean Resort and Villas in Myrtle Beach. The hotel met all of our expectations. Our room had 2 double beds, a double Murphy bed, and a pull out couch. There was a full kitchen, including microwave, full fridge, stove, and dishes. The hotel is right on the beach and has balcomnies overlooking the ocean. The hotel pools are very nice, although a bit crowded with kids (we were 4 20-somethings traveling together). No internet in the room, but we were on vacation so that didn't really matter. Located less than a mile from Broadway on the Beach (shops, restaurants, bars). |
