Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Wonderful view Anonymous There is a wonderful dualing piano bar at the local shopping center. Unbelievable talent. The Camelot by the Sea was a wonderful hotel to stay at. Every room has a view of the ocean. We listened to the waves hit the shore as we fell asleep. In the morning it was a few short steps to the lovely beach and seashells. The location was perfect. We stayed during the off season, so there were not a lot of people around. The Beach on Broadway, a wonderful shopping/dining experience, was five minutes away. Score 4 out of 5 Very nice for the price Anonymous, 2007-03-10 Lots of dining. The location was great, the rooms are really great - large and opens up to the beach. The price is right. Pools are really nice. Many places to eat nearby. Score 5 out of 5 Nice hotel Madelaine, Omaha, NE, 2007-03-06 Go to the Olympic Flame Pancake House for breakfast-the pancakes with chocolate chips and bananas are delicious!!Overall we really enjoyed our experience at the Camelot. The room was clean and we loved that our room faced the beach. The staff was friendly and the pools and hot tubs were great. The only thing is, I got a splinter in my hand, and when I went to the front desk to get a pair of tweezers, they didn't have any. They gave me a safety pin the size of one used to hold a diaper together for me and my husband to dig it out! It did the job, but at checkout we mentioned it again and the front desk agents had no trouble finding not 1 but 2 pairs of tweezers!! This was just a minor thing though, and my husband and I would definitely stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 First visit Dawn, 2007-02-25 Various food restaurants available. No problem in pleasing everyone's tastes. We had our first visit with Camelot for a weekend away. The two nights were very relaxing. The check in was great, very time efficient, as well as check out. The room was convenient to our needs and clean. We enjoyed the covered parking, as it was easier for loading and unloading. The experience was good and will probably stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 Great Location Steven, Charlotte, NC, 2006-12-08 The Camelot By The Sea, MYRTLE BEACH, SC is a great hotel located right on the beach. Our room had a awesome ocean view from our balcony. Great hotel at an unbeatable price. Score 5 out of 5 Enjoyable Getaway Laverne, Atlanta, GA, 2006-11-25 Tanger Outlets, Broadway at the BeachThis was our first stay at Camelot By The Sea. It definitely won't be our last! We visit Myrtle Beach every Fall/Winter. We've tried other hotels in the area, more expensive ones, but this hotel offers more for the money. We loved the oceanview, comfortable beds, full sized stove/refrig. Counter space was minimal in kitchen and bath, but we managed ok. No eatery at the hotel but we tend not to eat hotel food anyway, opting instead to get out and about town to experience all that Myrtle Beach has to offer. Many great restaurants in the area! Score 4 out of 5 Views are Fantastic Anonymous, 2006-11-11 Piggly Wiggly is a block away, so you can take full advantage of the full kitchen.Right on the beach, you wake up to the rising sun. Rooms are neat, but could stand some improvement. The drive up to the 10th floor is an experience. Score 5 out of 5 clean and simple Cheryl, San Jose, CA, 2006-10-31 lots of little places nearbyCamelot by the Sea has been well kept and the staff is friendly. The value for the location and facility is very good. The rooms are well planned and are all oceanfront. Very nice Score 4 out of 5 Great Ocean view from every room! Anonymous, 2006-08-30 Places to eat nearby: the Crabhouse at Broadway at the Beach on N. 21st (fabulous crab soup and crab cakes) and try the key lime pie!!! Broadway at the Beach has boardwalks and lots of shops the House of Blues in N. Mrytle (it looks abandoned, but go inside you'll be pleased with the food) and the Melting Pot( very intimate, delicious)We stayed 3 nights at the Camelot and was overall please with the accomodations. Great ocean view from the balcony, even though we didn't use the kitchen facitilies it was great having a fridge to store drinks. Housekeeping kept us supplied with plenty of clean towels, the air conditioner worked well, the beds were comfortable and the cable channels offered were a plus! The only issue i had was we booked on the 9th floor, which is great to look down over the beach, but it made for a slow exit when driving down 9 floors of a winding parking garage. And the other issue was since they don't have on site dining, if you love to order Room service for breakfast, you can't, but there is a starbucks right across the street if necessary. Overall our stay was pleasant, there is a small convenience store on site that sells beer, soda, gifts and snacks. I will consider staying here again! |
