Its a plan jane hotel, but found it to be a good value. Pool very small, but we stayed on the beach most of the time. Had a washer and dryer on ground floor. They we out of their way so we could stay another night in the same room. Only complant was the night desk person. not very helpful!!!!!!!! Said we could not stay in same room. Not very friendly guy. Day person made up for his slackness. So did the cleaning crew. Always made sure we had towels. Score 4 out of 5 No Condo Beach Crowds! Anonymous, 2006-06-06 There is a quaint $$$$ restaurant called "The Library" down near the Pavilion. Excellent tableside service, great wine list. Rack of lamb and Steak tartare were out of this world.The housekeeping and other hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Although the property itself is a bit worn, the rooms and grounds were very clean, pool area in good repair, etc. The hotel is nearly in N. Myrtle, so all the major waterslide/Pavilion crowds are a couple of miles away- Great for a quieter vacation. There'sa grocery store about a mile away, too. The rom had a refrigerator and coffee pot. Iron/board avail. on request, but mo microwave. Great stay. Score 2 out of 5 not happy victoria, Stewart Field/Newbur, NY, 2005-06-27 there was no around the clock front desk service they did't want to clean the room if you were staying more than one night the entrance to the room was very narrow but the room it self was very big no ironand boards in the rooms.the nice thing about this hotel was that it was right across the street from the beach. nice views and brezzies. |
