Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Conveinent Hotel jennifer, 2007-02-18 There were many places to eat at in Beaufort especially on hunting Island. we ate at Gilligan's Restaurant and the service and seafood was great. We also went to the local candy shop which was really good.My personal experience at this hotel was for the most part pretty good. The only problem I really had was that the box springs on the beds were broken( or very broken in). The breakfast was conveinent and the hotel was very centrally located from everything. We also requested Extra towels and they were very prompt with that. We would stay there again but would let them know if we got the broken box springs the next time. Overall very clean and neat. The people in the shops are very very friendly. Beaufort is between Charleston and Savannah and only 19 miles from Fripp Island. Lots to see and do in this area.Hotel is old and rooms need a little refurbishing; however, the outside of the hotel is very nice and the extensive grounds are beautiful. I think the hotel is for sale at this time; however, our stay was only for one night and was very pleasant. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area. The free breakfast selection was outstanding. When asked for an extra hour from check-out, the desk clerk was very accomodating. The hotel is about 4-5 miles from the historic downtown, but that was not a problem for us. I will say that there was nothing in the room concerning local sites to see or local restaurants. There was mold in the bathroom and all around the tub and shower/curtain. The floors had been vacumed but not under the table or chairs. Even the phone in the room had dirt in the craddle and the handset had dried mud on it. Score 4 out of 5 Somewhat satisfied Guest steven, Dundee, 2005-09-27 There is a restaurant in town called Barbara Jeans and it is the best country cooking I have ever had.I strongly recomend it.The ramada Limited was an okay motel.The outside was very nice but they were kind of doing remodeling when we were there.It was is located in town with an asortment of restaurants near by.I really liked the fact it was secluded somewhat with alot of trees around.They advertise that they have a full american breakfast but it only consists of Bagels,Sweet rolls,Grits,Eggs,cereal,and juice.
